Not buying a great system with dozens of must own games just because of the Virtual Console? Bizarre.

Well, you are wrong in saying it is terrible. It just shows you have no good taste in shows and don't know what is funny.

How did you get to this point in your life without realizing that comedy is an inherently very subjective thing? You seem to have this mindset that your opinions and tastes are absolute truths and anyone who disagrees with them is wrong. That's a developmental phase that usually goes away around age 5 or 6.

I know people have different opinions, I was just acting like he was.

POA is really needed though as it sets up so many things that happen later on, as well as give us more details into the past (like what exactly happened to Harry's parents). So even if it's not one of the better quality movies, it's still important in the grand scheme of things.

Worst movie? Ehh, I would not agree. I really liked it, I didn't like Half-Blood Prince aside form certain moments in it.

The first two movies were pretty light hearted, so maybe he assumed POA would have to be as well.

I would disagree that POA is a bad movie. Is it the best Harry Potter? No, but its still good.

Del Toro did say he wanted to direct the last Harry Potter movie, but that never happened either.

It seems like 95% of the people I StreetPass with at Walmart have Animal Crossing: New Leaf as their last played game, guess that is good news for the game.

Super Mario World, easily the best 2D Mario game ever. Played it many times on SNES, many times on the GBA enhanced remake, the Virtual Console. I have beaten it countless times and it is still a great game. Also still love Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Many other games (especially Mario platformers) I can enjoy and play many years later.

Are Canadian 3DSs and games region locked from the US? I assume North America is treated as one region, so maybe it could be imported and use US games.

Yes, they are the same region and play the same games.

TalkBack / Re: Nintendo's Stock Price Reaches Two Year High
« on: July 24, 2013, 04:02:28 PM »
Yes! Nintendo has returned to profitability in a short time.

That's not what this means. A company's stock price != profitability

Precisely, look at Apple and how they reported their profits went UP but their stock price dropped because investors expected profits to be even higher.

Game Informer reports that Microsoft is reversing its stance on indie publishing. They will let indie developers publish their own games, as well as set the date and price for their games.

The company will try to speed up the time between a title being submitted and when it gets released digitally in a model similar to iTunes and its 14 day turnaround. Instead of extensive code checking, they will just check for terms of service violations and significant bugs.

In addition they will not have separate retail and debug units, all Xbox One systems will be the same and Microsoft just enable certain console ID's to be able to play pre-release code.

I'm not wrong. I myself have almost no use for it. And yes I know her TV doesn't have HDMI, she wont use it either. Unless there is more to it than they have announced so far, even $35 is not worth it.

IF my TV and my GF's TV could support it, I would CONSIDER buying it since she loves listening to Pandora and stuff.

YouTube, Dailymotion, websites that stream TV channels (which has been ruled legal, as long as it's not a pay channel), other streaming sites, etc.

shingi, why doesn't your mom just use the Netflix/YouTube/Pandora apps for her phone? Pretty much any smartphone that is even semi-decent has those apps directly.

I prefer watching stuff on my computer, so I don't need to pay money to watch stuff on my TV. Especially as I don't use Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Video, etc., so a streaming box would be almost useless to me. MAYBE if you use a lot of different media services and pay for a lot of media, it might be worth it.

Meh, not worth $35 to me. It's interesting, but not worth that much.

I like the black/gray of the original 3DS, so I would be fine with a 3DS XL like that.

I like solitaire, but couldn't care less about horse racing. $5 is not that bad, at least if the actual solitaire part is good.

I am debating whether to get this. I think I might like it, but there are several other 3DS games I dont have that I want too (like Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land).

-Gravity Rush
-Tokyo Jungle
-Soul Sacrifice
-Rain
-Puppeteer
-Destiney of Spirits
-Knack
-Freedsom Wars
-The Last Guardian
-Gran Turismo 6
-H

Almost all of those are developed by just Sony studios, and all have Sony either developing by themselves or with others. Doesn't really support your case.

LOL, we will have to disagree. I think you are totally wrong though, the amount of people getting more than 99 is miniscule.

174
I like the Whatcha Watching segment, more than most of the NFR segments actually.

UB, I know some people will do it. But do you seriously think more than a very tiny amount of people will have more than 99 encounters with someone else?
