I really liked Dragon Quest V, and I'm awaiting a confirmed release for this.

Just curious- did you enjoy IV?

I really liked 5, I thought the style was great. I just wish that in VI they will account for the gap between the screens.

Man I wish there were more angst in this game. One of those old timey rpgs before they knew that what we really wanted was an androgynous lead character with a hyper-feminine love interest. Who wants to just go kill some Draco Lord anyways? I mean, what are you going to do with a sword that doesn't have a revolver as its hilt? Oh well.

You know, I think this happens to many "gaming fanatics" all of the time. I am usually happy to help, as I have noticed that many Gamestop employees' advice can be far from sound. I once had to intercede when a GS employee was trying to sell SSBB to a distressed uncle that wanted "one of those mario games" for his four year old nephew to watch his parents play/play a little himself. The employee really wanted to get them to pre-order Brawl, despite the fact that the kid's birthday was that weekend (months before brawl arrived) and he had Galaxy in stock. I mentioned Galaxy and the employee tried for a while to still weasel the guy into a pre order. I was glad knowing I made one kid's birthday a little better.

A little late, Activision? Games get a multiplatform release on the Wii all of the time, where is MW2? Don't tell me it wouldn't sell enough to cover costs on the Wii.

I got sick of this game well before I should have and put it up on Goozex while I could still get plenty of points for it. Enough, in fact, to get me FF 4, 5 and 6 and Mass Effect. Good deal.

While the writing was pretty funny, it seemed really forced. The battles got very repetitive and the actual character building wasn't enough to rope me in.

I just couldn't get past the controls in PH. I have been told that I am getting Spirit Tracks for christmas by a friend and I certainly won't refuse it, but I must admit I am not looking forward to the massive hand-strain that PH induced for me.

(Update)
I am really enjoying this game much more than PH. Either the controls have gotten better or the actual content of the game is engaging me much more than PH could.

I would be willing to pay for a base that has a sphere inlaid inside of it with a nunchuck hookup at the top of the sphere. In this way, if the game were to use wii motion plus, you could effectively have a cheap flight stick. If they wanted to get really fancy, the nunchuck hookup that would keep the wiimote attached to the base could also pass information through to a nunchuck attached to the side of the base, allowing for extra control.

I don't know if this would work out very well with the level of sensitivity that the wii has, but a solution like this would be cool.

Oh lord if only. No, I think it was a real song.

Sweet! Does anyone happen to remember the song on an episode way back that Greg started humming in the background? I just remembered getting a kick out of it, it had to do with someone either mentioning the title or a line from the song and Greg sort of ran through a few bars while the other hosts were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but now I can't get it out of my mind and it is on the tip of my tongue!
