Nintendo doesn't make shovelware, and that is a first party list.

I apologize, I missed that part.

Still, I don't remember seeing many shovelware titles dominating the weekly sales charts.  Just looking at the last list of UK sales, there's only one possible shovelware title (Michael Jackson something - I don't know anything about this particular title).  I don't deny that shovelware doesn't exist on Wii, it's the market leader so it would be the natural target.  I just don't think it contributes to the tie-in ratio in any meaningful way.

Michael Jackson The Experience wasn't a Shovelware title, it was basically Just Dance 2 with an all MJ skin wrapped all over it, but it is a quality title that could have had a slightly better song selection..

Is it really a coincidence that PS3 software sales dropped like a stone as soon as piracy was opened up on it a few weeks ago?

If you think piracy is wiping out sales, for what titles do you think this is happening?

I don't really understand the question, but I'll just say All of them (except the one that charted this week).
That's just lazy.  If you can't name a recently released game that should be popular, then you're just guessing that piracy is killing game sales.  You're not considering whether or not there would be any PS3 titles in the sales chart if the system hadn't been jailbroken in the first place.

I stated that I probably wasn't gonna be answering your question, but i took a stab at it anyway. But now that you responded, I understand what you were asking the first time. You wanna know what games released during those weeks that should have placed but didn't, and that might support a cause for piracy alert. Well, let me go look up the release list and I'll get back to you on that.

Yes, it is a complete coincidence that there weren't any PS3 games listed, especially since piracy has been possible on the PS3 for the better part of 6 months now. If piracy were to blame, then there wouldn't be any games listed, since piracy on the Wii has been possible basically since it was launched, and the 360 only took a year or so as well.
