Nintendo Gaming / Guitar Hero World Tour SD cards

While I was looking into getting a few songs for Guitar Hero before the service shut down, I noticed that a few of my SD cards weren't registering with GH:WT. It would tell me that "The device inserted in the SD Card Slot cannot be used". I've been able to properly load channels off them and they all worked fine with other games (including my copy of GH5 which I later found). I even tried formatting them several times. Really curious if anyone knows why all this would happen.

Nintendo Gaming / 3DS SD card corruption

I was wanting to use my 3DS SD card for other things so I cut and pasted everything from it onto my computer. After I brought everything back on the card, and put it back in the DS it gave me some sort of message about the data being corrupted. Now, most of the home screen icons tell me that I need to redownload the from the eshop, including Animal Crossing and Streetpass Mii Plaza .
I don't remember anything seeming wrong during the process but I might not be remembering it properly. Anyone know if there's any remote chance of me fixing my stuff ? Or have any insight on what I could have done wrong so I can avoid making the same mistake?
Any insight would be great, thanks guys.

General Gaming / Club Nintendo question

Recently, I made my first actual purchase on the eShop (Super Mario Land 2 on sale FTW ) and havent gotten any purchase coins/survey options for it yet.  Should I have?  I had originally had problems getting my free downloads to register, but a strongly worded (OK not really ) email fixed that.  Since then, I've gotten coins and surveys from a few more free downloads and they all appeared on my list of products (as did SML2).  Any tips?

Nintendo Gaming / 3DS scratches

I too am starting to fall prey to the epidemic of the raised touchscreen induced scratches. I've considered buying my first ever handheld protection kit with a screen protector to combat this but an employee (manager?) at a local EB Games doesn't think that it would fix the problem as the "scratches" are mostly caused by pressure between the two halves of the console.
 
Are these going to get a lot worse? Should a screen protector help me out? Any other suggestions?

Nintendo Gaming / Official special Miis

As we know, in the Mii Maker, Nintendo can distribute official Miis (described as "special") which have golden pants and limitations on redistribution.  Having gotten my first the other day, I was thinking we could start compiling and maintaining a list of those that have been distributed so far.
 
To my current knowledge, these are region-locked btw.

-Rainn Wilson: Released on the official 3DS Facebook page as the first in an apparent series of celebrity Miis.
 
Nintendo of Japan:
I think I heard they released Iwata or somebody...?
 
A Google search earlier also led me to info about an Australian celebrity that I, for one, had never heard of.
 
I can always tweak this post to be better worded as well as more complete as we get our info together.

Nintendo Gaming / Wii not reading discs

My Wii stopped reading discs (though as far as I can tell everything else works fine).
I tried cleaning the lens using some tips I found on Youtube figuring that I was going to have to buy a new one anyway even if I didn't screw up and scratch it or w/e.  No (positive at least) effect from that though.  Not really sure if I messed it up more than it already was.  Any ideas/tips other than getting a new one and getting out SD cards to transfer everything over?
