Seeing the attached image, the US 3DS seems to state right in the friends list section that you can message friends.

If either Ridge Racer or Asphalt provide some excellent arcade-style racing I'll pick up one of those. If not I'll just play Radiant Historia on my shiney new 3DS.

I just got the red one myself last week. The construction wasn't nearly as shoddy as I was expecting. Now to just wait for March 27th...

Why would anyone pay $50 for the Wii version sans online when they can pay $50 or maybe even less for a PS360 version with online?
