"2) An Animal Crossing MMO would not see release outside of Japan, NoA and NoE are obstinate in only wanting limited online functionality in the title."

Haha, whatever...Animal Crossing is made of money, and there's no way NCL would let NOA/NOE deny the game...

Some of them makes sense and have been speculated long before she/he posted them, like the KH one. Also, Nintendo is the type of company that hardly keeps a game Japan only so its expected that they will release anything that has their name and characters on it. Same thing with Square.

And some of the rumors seem a little too extreme, like they were made so they could spark highly heated debates online. Like Bill said, AC is a very popular franchise and Nintendo would NEVER keep it Japan only. And I'm also sure Square would love to have one of their characters in one of the most popular fighting games ever. Hell, they LOVE to milk the hell out of their franchise so why would they pass up another milking opportunity? The only real reason I can come up with as to why would Square drop out of the brawl is because they don't want one of their characters brawling with the likes of Link, Snake, Sonic and any other possible third party character.

I'm not sure if this has been brought up but apparently YesAsia brought up a listing of another anime-based game for the Wii from Bandai-Namco, based on Sailor Moon. Due by the end of the year.

For some reason, I want it to be true.

Oh, and what about GameFly having a listing for a House of the Dead 2 & 3 Wii Compilation?

Oh hell yes, please let that be true. As for the AC thing, there is no way that won't come out in America after the success of both the Cube and DS ACs.

HotD3 never came to the DC, the only console it appeared on was the Xbox.

Did it appear in arcades? Arcade hardware was uber-close to DC for awhile there... what was it called again? The Naoki board or something?

Naomi. I'm sure it appeared in arcades, but I think by that point Sega had a more advanced version of the Naomi hardware.

So why aren't they including the first House of the Dead?  Just seems arbitrary to exclude it.

Unless they want to sell that as a Saturn game on the VC.  Now watch that rumour spread with this "proof" following it.

RPG Magazine rumours...

- Square-Enix is considering bringing back Super Mario RPG by making a sequel on the DS. The sequel would include more characters from the Final Fantasy universe.
- Ogre Battle may be heading back to the Wii, and Yasumi Matsuno would be involved
- Camelot is bringing back the Golden Sun series by making a Wii installment. Fighting would be mostly focused on the Nunchuk.

All these recent Camelot rumours in the past half year are pissing me off... ;_;

You know it's been so long since the first game and Square Enix is so different now and Mario is so different now and I don't want this limited to a portable and so many sequels that have come out years after the first game haven't lived up to the original and yet... I still want to see this.  I guess I just like Super Mario RPG so much that I'll risk being let down by a sequel on the off chance that it delivers.

Yes!  Another Ogre Battle rumor!  Hopefully this means that it truly is in the works...  Here's what I said a few pages back:

Dunno if someone posted this one yet, but according to EGM's Quatermann:

Final Fantasy Tactics director Yasumi Matsuno (who also conceived and directed Tactics Ogre [SNES] and Vagrant Story [PS1], etc...) is wrangling together some of his old pals who worked on past SRPG titlles like Ogre Battle (SNES) to piece together an exclusive Wii game very similar to Final Fantasy Tactics.

Please let this be a sequel to Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together!  And I'd rather be in the vien of Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen and Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Calibur as opposed to Tactics Ogre and FFT - but I'll take what I can get.  Damn I hope this is true...

WHOOT!

I expected this game at launch, and then some online PC golf game shattered my hopes and dreams.

GS is really the only JRPG series I love (Tales is aight); and this game is a perfect fit for the Wii. All those telekinesis powers could easily be gesture paced, making for some interesting multiple power possibilities. So please.....please be true!

You expected Golden Sun Wii at launch? Really? With Camelots track record? If it's confirmed now we should be playing it in 2009. Sweet. I'll believe it when I see it though.
