Also, looks like PS3 is still 2 weeks away from the 1 million mark, at this rate Wii is 4 weeks away from the 3.5 million mark.

Sorry about everything being late this week on my side of things.  Its sort of gotten distracting here job wise.  Its finally picking up a little.  I'll have the numbers ran by tomorrow, I can't get to the machine with the stuff right now, for the hardware and the software.

Us Canadians love us some Wii!  I'm impressed to see Wii actually outsell DS somewhere.  I think that's going to become normal in a couple of years when Wii hits its peak and DS is on its way out, but for Wii to beat DS anywhere right now is pretty surprising.
That's my opinion, not yours.

It should be obvious. To the U.S.

I remember when I was growing up in Vancouver, B.C. my family would drive south to Bellisfair for shopping excursions outside of Canadian taxes at least monthly, and the car line-up to cross the border would take an hour to get through... and then sometimes going back to Canada we'd have to get out of the car and let them inspect our purchases and also do something in person at the DMV-like offices they had...

I thought that Media Create was generally regarded as more reliable? Or is it just easier to get consistent long-term Famitsu numbers since MC numbers only exist for the top 10?

Wow, PS3 didn't even hit the top 20...and neither did PSP. Also, for BnM, Nintendo had *6* in the top 10. I'm actually pretty shocked (and happy) to see RE4 on there, especially since it was released on June 19th - well into the month, and that alone is a MAJOR blow to Sony, seeing as a game that's been released on now it's 4th system sold better than any PS3 or PSP game, WAY better.

I'm kinda hoping Capcom scraps the current version of RE5 (like they did 1392731 times with RE4) and puts it on a platform where Japanese and non-Halo-fan gamers might actually care about it.

Yeah I'm sure RE5 will go through plenty of changes.

No matter how good the game is on Xbox 360 or PS3 it will never ever ever be as good as it could be on the Wii. Wii has the best controls ever for RE and nothing will change that fact and I for one will never play another RE without Wii controls. It'll just feel like clunky gameplay all over again.

Wow, still? That game is a monster!

Other than that, what can you say? With the Wii and DS doing so well worldwide, and with Phantom Hourglass and New Super Mario Bros almost certainly going to become the best selling non-pack-in Zelda and Mario games ever in Japan, it really is a new golden age for Nintendo.
