The Sonic trailer was inexplicable. The crew has to know the movie will be trash so it feels like they are trashing it for fun.

I'll watch this when it gets uploaded to youtube.

Why do they keep making these movies where cartooney characters get teleported into the real world? They're almost always commercial and critical failures.

It's such a lazy plot too, and it makes the story seem a little generic.

Early reviews for John Wick 3 have been absolutely awesome. "Visceral Action" I think sums it up.

and Detective Pikachu reviews have been just as positive.
"by far the best videogame movie ever, and exactly what was needed, with a glimpse of what it could become..."

meanwhile.... Sonic may be undergoing a re-design after backlash from the trailer.
Producer or director or whoever it was. stated #"gottafixfast."

For Pikachu, I dearly hope there are many fan moments for the cartoon viewers. Maybe a song or two from the series. I'm ready to go back twenty years for a couple of hours.

Well, after reading a few more... I think I read about 5 initial reviews when I posted....

Detective Pika Pika is a movie for pokemon fans. has it's laughs, good visuals, and is overall entertaining. not much to the plot, but they worked the little they had to well enough.

so overall positive, but not exactly the more glowing reviews tbh.

So they plan to rotate Star Wars and Avatar...not sure how they think Avatar can continue at that pace when its taken years to put out the second one (and it was about a decade of work to put out the first one).

Star Wars needs a break. The fans will settle down in that time, but hopefully the studio also re-hones their focus and gets their act together so the next films aren't such a mess. Marvel/MCU set the standard for how Star Wars should have been done, so hopefully they take advantage of a moderately clean slate after Death of Franchise releases in December.

Artemis Fowl moved to 2020 and Disney already has $4B in 4 Movies (counting Penguins).
Can Disney pull off $10B w/ only 10 Movies?
Or will we have to factor in the FOX stuff too?

I think we can expect Toy Story and Star Wars to pull their own weight, but Frozen 2 is gonna have to be closer to Endgame to help compensate for the weaker performances.
