More seats opening up on China's HYPE Train to Endgame!!!

Endgame about to do some serious money in China.
I just wonder how much of all these pre-sales turn in to "opening weekend" viewing $$
vs just movie being sold out for the first few weeks of 24hr round the clock viewings. LOL

according to Reddit, Philippine theaters are even offering perks for this Opening Weekend 24hr a day run, such as Buy 3 Tix get free Popcorn and Soda or unlimited refills for either.

Why is Godzilla scheduled for the end of May? Warner makes such baffling choices sometimes, but sure let's release two Legendary Pictures movies within a month of each other, both with significant stake in the (pre-)teen boy demographic. Although Pikachu is of course much more of a 4-quarters film than Gojira.

By the way, in regards to the poll, I'm ready to make another "New Mutants will pass 1 billion" style bold prediction: Detective Pika is going to blow past the 1 billion Dollar mark. Don't think it'll outgross Avengers 4, since the last one made 2 billion, but if Pikachu makes 100 million on opening weekend, you heard it here first.

If that movie somehow turns out bad, their marketing department deserves a raise for making it seem super fun.

Sonic needs to be put out of his misery. His design is grotesque. Seems like we have Ace Ventura with a mo instead of Robotnik as the villain. I will admit I've missed this kind of performance from Mr Carrey but I am still decided whether I could take the rest of the movie.

Also, why did they decide to go straight to world ending stakes? Did we really need to have a world ending scenario in a Sonic movie of all things?

Having absolutely no nostalgia for the original games would help me not take this as an insult. Might be a home viewing one day.

Okay, Sonic will be one of those films you watch for the enjoyable actor playing the villain and chewing the scenery (or other characters). Carey makes me open to watching in on Netflix.
