2 more DC shows possibly join the fray next year

In addition to Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, Constantine, and soon to be iZombie and Supergirl, we appear to be getting Krypton (Gotham like treatment for Superman w/ Goyer attached on SyFy) and Teen Titans (w/ Goeff Johns and starring Nightwing)

Teen Titans:
http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/teen-titans-tv-series-featuring-nightwing-will-receieve-pilot-in-2015-112

Krypton:
http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/12/09/syfy-developing-krypton-tv-series-from-david-goyer?utm_campaign=ign+main+twitter&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social

Quote
Krypton will focus on Superman’s grandfather, the father of Jor-El, and is set quite awhile before the planet explodes.

Per the official series description, “Years before the Superman legend we know, the House of El was shamed and ostracized. This series follows The Man of Steel's grandfather as he brings hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of giving birth to the greatest Super Hero ever known.”

Goldberg is writing the pilot teleplay, based on a story conceived by Goyer & Goldberg.

Krypton would join a bevy of DC Comics series already on the air, across multiple networks, with more on the way. CBS is the home to another upcoming Superman-related series, Supergirl, which is now searching for a lead actress. Meanwhile, Titans is in development at TNT and a pilot could be filming next year according to DC's Geoff Johns.

and there might even be more DC/Vertigo tv shows coming, but they escape me at the moment.

edit: Re: Teen Titans, TNT is owned by the same parent company that owns CBS & The CW (WB), so it also has a chance of being part of the Arrowverse, but not as likely as Supergirl, since that is by the same production company that handles the current Arrowverse.

Rumor: Sony/Marvel Spider-man deal may still be happening
http://www.latino-review.com/news/marvelous-da7e-75-the-spider-manmarvel-deal-is-very-much-alive

Basically marvel gets creative control, and they split cost and profits. 60/40 was supposedly the last offer on the table, with Marvel getting the larger share.
But the source is Latino-review, so take with handfuls of salt.

Of, and supposedly Sony Japan (aka Kaz Harai) is bringing it back to the table due to disappointment in the handling of the property and the entire leak situation.

That is seriously classy.

I had a feeling having AoS showing Agent Carter was going somewhere. The problems is that this show is going to run into prequel syndrome. Two, is there really enough interest for what is effectively two AoS shows. The timeframe might be different, but they are fundamentally the same show.

If Agent Carter shies away from Hydra and Aliens than the series should work. Just make it a nice self contained period piece in the MCU without many last minute reveals. If they bring in any marvek concept or idea I hope its the idea of the man on the wall.

It can't shy away from Hydra.  It makes more sense for them to have Hydra in them than it really did with AoS.

One thing that's come out of the Sony hack is that one Sony exec wants Idris Elba to be the next James Bond. I, personally, am massively in favor of this, but only if they get Michael K. Williams to be the villain.

The Kickstarter page for David Cross's upcoming movie indirectly confirms that there is some kind of Mr. Show reunion thing going into production in the next few months. I am beyond excited for this, the original run is probably my favorite sketch comedy show ever.

Apparent DCCU leak - *Spoilers...?*
http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/BrainiacAnnihilatesUltron/news/?a=113586

Talks of plans for the whole DCCU. Cameos, plotlines, multi-verse(?), background studio politics/drama and more. Not sure how legit, so read at own risk of potentially being spoiled.

let's meet Young Jean Grey, Cyclops and Storm

Jean Grey = Sansa Stark (Game of Thrones)

Cyclops = Lion Baby Face (he looks like a baby faced lion)

Storm = Oh So Fine

Also, I'm in the hashtag Lupita for Storm camp.

Report: Netflix Making Legend of Zelda TV Series

http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2015/02/06/legend-of-zelda-netflix-series/

Quote
“The Legend of Zelda,” one of the most popular videogame series of all time, is in the works as a television show at Netflix.

The video streaming service is in the early stages of developing a live action series based on “Zelda,” about an ordinary boy named Link who must rescue a princess named Zelda and save a fantasy world called Hyrule, said a person familiar with the matter. As it seeks writers to work on the show, Netflix is describing it as “Game of Thrones” for a family audience, this person said.

The “Zelda” games have traditionally included swords and sorcery, like “Game of Thrones” or “Lord of the Rings,” but typically with a more light-hearted, kid-friendly tone.

Netflix is said to be working closely with Nintendo, the Japanese game developer that has made about 20 “The Legend of Zelda” games since the original, which was released in the U.S. in 1987.

Nintendo is very protective of its intellectual property and has allowed few adaptations over the years. An animated “Legend of Zelda” series ran for just one season in 1989. A 1993 movie based on Nintendo’s “Super Mario Bros.” was an infamous bomb.

As it is still seeking a writer to work on the series, Netflix has a long road to travel before a “Legend of Zelda” series actually becomes a reality. It’s also possible that Netflix or Nintendo will kill the project before it gets off the ground.

A Netflix spokeswoman declined to comment. A Nintendo spokesman said the company “doesn’t comment on rumors and speculation.”

So it may or may not happen, but Netflix and Nintendo are looking into it.

If this is Netflix's attempt at their own Game of Thrones, with a Lord of the Rings rating, then maybe, but otherwise, what Nickmitch said....

Give me an "Excuuuuuse Me Princess" reference or no deal.

If they get the right writers and actors I could see this going really well. I'll remain an optimist until I see a trailer. Besides, we got a long road before we see anything for it appear.

I really wish this was Animated and on the caliber of The Legend of Korra.  I just don't want live action.  Zelda is about the world, more than Link...and I don't see a live action TV budget giving us the quality monsters, and fantasy world I expect of out Zelda.
