Nintendo Gaming / They got to make another pokemon
« on: June 14, 2003, 04:11:03 PM »
Well obviously an online PKMN title is something we all want.

I was thinking of making the game based on the TV show. You play as Ash, and all your Pokemon's abilities are needed to go places. Like to fly and chase the Team Rocket blimp or something.

Oh tha'd be so cool...

Edit: Agh, ever get the feeling that you do something idiodic but your too drunk to remember it? The same scenario happened here but I was very sober =)

On a lighter note, should I get her a used standard GBA with Golden Sun?

Nintendo Gaming / NINTENDO FANBOYS
« on: June 13, 2003, 06:09:30 PM »
I like to be witn Nintendo since I had my first NES when I was a tad midgit, and I loved it since.

In fact so far my N64 collection is like 30+ games. My GCN collection is close to beating it. The Nintendo games are great, the perhiperals (Although as marketing gimmicks as they may be) are just plain cool. I just dont like the PS2 since I have a Playstation myself, and I dont see the whole rage. Probably because I'm not a Squaresoft fan, I'm big on platformers, and thats pretty much what I got. But its very lackluster in this area. But for some reason I like the Crash and Gex games. Call me nuts, but thats the way I am. Reason why I dont like RPG's is because its the Disney of the video game industry. Its just an overhyped love story that have characters that trade personalities from one game to the next. Not to mention the goal is pretty much the same god damn thing every time. Theres going to be a love interest thats super magical powerful and all this other crap, you are the chosen one of Bimbo country, and you need to save the world from sone guy who had crappy parents.

Yeah, I've never played any of the games, but really, did I miss a lot? I think not. Not to mention Squaresoft is one of the most overhyped companies out there.

Oh, one other thing, did Eghertz oversell Super Smash Bros. on the N64? You know, the fighting game with Final Fantasy 7 characters in it. And man, I knew that a lot of people loved Cloud and his crappy haircut with a giant kitchen knife. Or is it just that Texas sucks?

---------------
Edit: Ugh, I got off track anyway I dont like the PS2 since I think its overhyped. All I hear is just about Grand Theft Auto, and I could give a rats ass about it. And as for the X Box, Microsoft still hasnt won me over with their Windows platform, but since I have no cheap alternative, I'm stuck with this. Not to mention there hasnt been one title on the Box that appealed to me.

Nintendo Gaming / Backwards compatible you say but...
« on: June 13, 2003, 05:51:21 PM »
Maybe make the D-pad half the size of like a MicroCon's GCN pad. I swear, that D-pad is huge and super-sexy. One of the better 3rd party controllers out there. (Okay the control stick sucks...but Sonic Mega Collection couldnt've been sweeter.

If they were to fix the Z-button, perhaps make it finger length like the N64/SNES's shoulder buttons are. Or maybe bend the shoulder buttons back a little for more room for the Z button?

Edit: Hmm..one other thing. What about the C-stick. Other than making the top like the other control stick should they move it? I always wondered what it'd be like if the C-stick was at the top right of the buttons and just across from the other stick. Sort of an N64 feel (Maybe rotate the A, B, X, Y buttons so the thumb adjusts correctly?

Eh I'm just making things complicated.

Nintendo Gaming / nintendo's next system
« on: June 13, 2003, 05:42:05 PM »
What I think is that they shouldnt make another system. Just make an enhancer for the Cube. If it has to be the size of a Game Boy Player, so be it. That way it can be affordable, people wont have to shell out $200 again, and all the games the GCN had can still be played.

Okay, I'm a cheap-ass. Realistically Nintendo should just come out with a $150 system that just does what they have done best: play games. No need for any of this DVD, MP3 or whatever crap, keep the small discs but with more space in them and cheaper, and be compatible with the GCN add-ons.

Although, Nintendo needs to watch the others and see what they'll do. They should make a very powerful system. That cant be beat, but is still affordable.

Hmm, I think my idea is somewhere in fantasy land. Exscuse me.

Nintendo Gaming / A warning to all
« on: June 13, 2003, 05:34:29 PM »
Deadly Aliance GBA got good reviews, in fact, another GBA Mortal Kombat game is in the works that lets you play against a friend who has the same game, or Deadly Aliance.

But I've barely played it...

Nintendo Gaming / Mario Kart characters
« on: June 13, 2003, 05:07:01 PM »
Wa-no, I think Wario's brother is enough.

But yeah, my personal guess is Toad, DK Jr., Shy Guy, Waluigi,

It'd be neat if they reached way back out there for some of the lesser used Mario characters like the Koopa Kids, Wart, Isle Delfino resident, Magikoopa and maybe some others I cant think of.

NWR Feedback / PLEASE Stop the Flash Adds- PGC Admins...
« on: June 13, 2003, 11:36:16 AM »
It doesnt help when the flash banner is on the page and doesnt have a close button. And when you think your fine and choose a news item, BOOM! You get information on Windows XP.

At least tell them to make the banners inside the banner thing and not explode it everywhere. If they want customers, they dont screw with the customer.

Nintendo Gaming / Nokia N-Gage v.s Game Boy Advance SP
« on: June 13, 2003, 09:09:45 AM »
Nokia makes crappy cell-phones and its lack of games and sense is getting to me.

Besides, isnt there going to be an MP3 player for the GBA? I heard a bunch of stuff from E3 that you can buy software like the MP3 player, movie player, even cartridges that has a whole episode of Pokemon on a cheap $15-20 cartridge.

Really the N-Gage is just for noone and I think somebody very strange will get this...thing.

If you are getting one, power to you, just dont expect a good refund from Game Stop...

Oh well, it was still a good deal.

Nintendo Gaming / DK Country commercials

The commercials may be good, but the website really sucks.

None of NIntendo's game-based websites can beat their Wario Land 4 site.

Hey...whered it go?

General Gaming / Sony announces... the PSX!?
« on: June 13, 2003, 04:45:39 AM »
Nintendo should just stick to games, the CD players and all that extra crap can stay out of their systems. I already have 2 lovely DVD players and I can get all the Simpsons action I want off of it. The PS2 and X Box has lost its chance of me buying it at their $179.99 price tag. But Nintendo should come out with a very powerful system and keep the mini disc idea. If it can play GCN games, fine, I dont mind since I have one, but I think the next console should have it. In fact, their next system should just be a memory expansion for the Cube. Not only will it be cheap, but next-gen goers wont have to shell out big bucks for another system.

I want to get those Hori digital controllers. Is there any place else other than Play Asia.com that sells these?

If not, does anyone have them and are they worth the $18.90 price tag at PAsia.com?

I like to use Yoshi. you can pull off some dirty combos with his headbutt, bicycle kick, butt stomp and knock people down when they try to get back on stage.

General Gaming / If you think rare has lost their touch....
« on: June 13, 2003, 04:32:01 AM »
Eh, I think Rare's X Box games are going to do well. But something tells me we wont be seeing Banjo again, unless they give him a beer and a blue jacket, Banjo wont show his face in the 'mature' X Box crowd. Havent you noticed the upcomming titles? Kameo, Conker and Ghoulies seem to be targeted at an older audience (Okay, I havent seen a thing on Ghoulies) but I think Rare's going to go for a more bloody look this time around.

Nintendo Gaming / "Game Boy is for 10-year-olds..."
« on: June 13, 2003, 04:21:00 AM »
I think that people are actually going to cash in on these duds. There is going to be an idiot or two out there who think buying a Nokia N-Gage will make them look cool and start that Nintendo is kiddy BS thats plagued our fine company.

And the PSP, man, people are going to buy it simply because of the Playstation brand name. I can see it now, "40,000 PSP's under 1 weekend VS. 1,000 GBA's on the same weekend, Nintendo in trouble?" the way the world functions right now is very scary, kids will buy a PS2 like smoking a 'J' to rebel against daddy, and the PSP is no different.

'Playstation you say?'
'3D you say?'

(@*^ the GBA I'm gett--

okay thats enough exaggeration for now...

Nintendo Gaming / Bye Bye Gamecube
« on: June 13, 2003, 04:09:46 AM »
Pah, online plans. Back in my day, I went around playing as Sonic in Quake 3 in servers that I didnt have to pay a dime for. Except for my internet service of course.

Then again, Sony's online plan felt like they just wanted in the band wagon. I heard big buzz about X Box Live, but not Sony PS2 Online. Theres not one PS2 game online that you cant get the same greatness (Or lack thereof) from a PC title. In fact, some of the PS2's online games are PC titles that had a sequel already released at the same time. Apparently stuff like this sales like hot cakes, but didnt that one interview (With that Silicon Knights guy) say that Sony is having money problems because of their online plan?

Oh well, a PS2 is a fine choice I guess? I dont have one and dont plan to get one in the near future.

Nintendo Gaming / What game is best for playing at school?
« on: June 13, 2003, 04:04:31 AM »
We have a study hall at our school, but we call it advisory, and instead of being quiet, its just a classroom filled with the same asses you see in the hallway. hoo-ray.

Back on topic, a platformer never goes wrong =) DKC, Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Rayman, they're all good.

I think Sega wants Sonic on all platforms because of 1 of these things:

A. Sonic is now Sega's bitch to milk off of. The merchandise, TV show, slew of spin-off games comming out. (Pinball Party, Battle etc.)
B. Sega still hates Nintendo and wants to pee on their grave for destroying the Dreamcast (Well..PS2 did it anyway)
C. Sega's crack team of marketing stradegists thinks its cool to screw people over.
