TalkBack / RE:Two New VC Games
« on: January 15, 2008, 04:22:00 PM »
American publishers need to hurry up and get in on the classic re-releases. Isnt Earthworm Jim due for a comeback sometime soon? (One that doesnt revolve around that really...awful looking PSP platformer) Then why not release both EWJ 1 and 2 (and for giggles, on all formats it came out on, Genesis, Sega CD, Super NES etc.)

if Nintendo had that Virtual Console business going for the DS or whatever, I'd vote for Shantae to be part of the launch group...

What I'd like to know is...has the game been recalled? Because I havent been able to find the Wii version.

I finally got my copy, but they didnt send me the little figure.

I sent off an e-mail but they havent responded back. See if I ever order from you guys again, Capcom.

Third party Genesis games are beginning to trinkle in, Rocket Knight isnt too far off now, is it?

I was part of a lock-in at Game Crazy, I got food and got to play games until midnight.

Although most of that time was spent playing Sonic 2k6, which is LIKE sitting out in the cold.

TalkBack / RE: Study: 46% of Retailers Sell M-Rated Games to Minors
« on: November 26, 2007, 03:34:31 PM »
I find it hilarious for parents who want to be hesitant in presenting ID when it came to purchasing M-rated games. One would think that the same people who want these kinds of laws to be present dont want to follow the same law theirselves. Hypocrite USA, population: Dozens.

For the record, I never sold an M rated title to minors when I worked at a game store for a month, whether they insulted me or not.

Its the only way I can ever play Super Mario 64 DS. I cant imagine playing it any other way.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: The OFFICIAL Wii rumor thread (updated 10/29/2007)

I'm not sure if this has been brought up but apparently YesAsia brought up a listing of another anime-based game for the Wii from Bandai-Namco, based on Sailor Moon. Due by the end of the year.

For some reason, I want it to be true.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: The Simpsons Game

I noticed the Wii version changed the Sparklemon battles into movies. The 360 version lets you play it out.

Thanks EA, cop outs...

Just a quick observation, it looks like Lard Lad lost a lot of facial animation in the Wii version, its gone toward this green-eyed, emotionless walking beast.

Oh well, the game still looks nice, but I'm pretty sure its not going to look nearly as good as the 360 version, although I dont think I've seen any lag in the game, either that or its very rare.

TalkBack / RE: Play Galaxy at Retail Kiosks

I actually got to see the actual disc, box and everything it came in, and played for about an hour into the game at Game Crazy, the store I saw it at first.

I must say, at first I thought this Mario wasnt going to cut it, but after finally spending some time with the game, I've been convinced that I was wrong. It seems odd of Nintendo to offer the entire game to be playable at these stores, and I was even considering making frequent stops to play more of the game, and possibly copy the save file over to an SD card and finish the game at home....maybe.

I pre-ordered mine from Capcom's website, unfortunatley, the day of release, Capcom sends me an e-mail that my order has been delayed!

Wonderful! No figure and no game. Now if they just send me the game, well...I dont want it. I could just go to the store and get it $10 cheaper...

Good to hear that this game is finally going to come out. I've been interested ever since the video for the GBA version was posted. Obviously the development jumped to the DS, which made it even more playable (Personally) than it would've on the GBA...

So many games...

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Future home of the Red Steel 2 Megathread
« on: July 03, 2007, 01:37:01 PM »
I'm more than positive that Red Steel 2 is going to do circles around the first game. I mean, I know they just wanted to get the game out by launch so bad that several dozen features didnt make it in. Although I'm going to rent it first since the first one was, well...really rushed. I havent traded in a game in a long time and both Red Steel and Raving Rabbids just felt that...once Nintendo's stuff comes along nobody would want to even touch either of these titles...

Hopefully Ubisoft can change my mind but...just have to wait and see.

Hm, I wonder if they're up to supporting the Virtual Console at all.

Magical Quest - Starring Mickey Mouse would be a great addition, although they seem to be pretty content on bringing up a lot of dreck featuring Hannah Montana and Zack and Cody instead...
