Nintendo's own games and hardware dominated E3, but there were still a number of interesting Wii and DS demos from third-party publishers. On the night of the expo's second full day, the entire on-site NWR crew fights off sleep long enough to run down the most exciting third-party and multi-platform games we saw at the show.

I've not finished listening to this (I'm about 20 minutes in), but I'm having trouble hearing some voices. I appreciate that this was recorded at a very late time of day and you were all tired, but except for James and Karlie, everyone seems to be extremely quiet. I had no such problem with the previous two E3 podcasts, so.... I don't know.

@killer, I seem to be able to hear everyone just fine.

My two third party standouts are:
  • Okamiden
  • FF Four Warriors of Light
I feel like I shouldn't say MGS 3ds since it wasn't really playable. Red faction Mickey looked good, but my time in the Disney booth was spent watching the icky, icky Tron iPhone port.

Just a quick note about Epic Mickey: when you guys reference how old style animation has brighter colors for things characters interact with Johnny mentions it as keyframing.  The actual reason for the chromatic difference is actually Cells and Backgrounds.  Objects that characters do not move were watercolor or acrylic painted backgrounds whereas objects characters would move were animated and painted on transparent cells like the characters.  Keyframes in animation are the main drawings of an action that animators then connect with inbetween drawings.  Just thought I'd clear that up a little.

Otherwise great show as usual guys (and gal)

Quick note on Rock Band 3's Fender controller. I was told that you can actually mute the strings on the Fender and the game will pick that up. Insanity!

I've checked both my local source files and the online versions (linked in the article above), and this episode appears in both. If you're still having trouble, please send a screenshot, XML file, or any other information you have so I can try to recreate and fix the problem.

In fact a lot of the E3 2010 ones are missing, judging by that screenshot,

Regarding the volume, we had a mistake on this episode. Karlie and I were closest to the microphone, which is why you can hear us. I did as much amplification as I felt comfortable doing, but yeah the audio on this one isn't as good as the other 3.

The AAC RFN feed from the homepage. I just deleted it and re-added it and it seems to be ok now. Thanks for looking into it!
