But Robocop has to be good. It has Michael Keaton, SLJ and the greatest actor of all-time Gary Oldman. I'm still gonna watch it even though it has "unnecessary" written all over it.
You never saw Robocop 3 did you?

is that the one with "NUKE"? no thats 2. OMG, I don't think I saw Robocop 3. was it superbad?

You didn't like IM3 but liked IM2? ha

I know thats crazy right, but yeah. IronMan 2 is quite a flawed movie but I like it a hellava lot better than part 3.

(I am also one of 12 confirmed humans that liked Superman Returns more than Man of Steel)

You were... surprised?

I was surprised by how dull it was. I went in having seen nothing except one trailer and read nothing, but even the finished product didn't do it for me.

Both actors who play Alex and Clare (?) Murphy have no chemistry either.

Robocop 3 is shockingly bad. It makes dull look good. Nothing good from the first 2 movies made it into 3.

Man of Steel... wasn't good.  But it was leaps and bounds over "Superman-raped-me Returns"

Oh sure. You say that now but when Superman VS Batman comes out, you'll be talking about how great Man of Steel was/is.

Don't you people get it? Unless you say the latest movie was the greatest Superman movie ever, they will keep releasing worse and worse movies to make you change your opinion on the one that came just before and like it and force you to declare it better than the latest one.

Only be proclaiming Man of Steel as the best Superman movie ever will the studio finally feel free to release a different kind of movie (and hopefully better kind of Superman movie) because they will not have to worry about retroactive salvaging.

Sadly, Man of Steel was probably the best live-action Superman movie ever...

It's February so my movie pass is about to expire. I still have about 2 weeks left, but before i renewed i decided to count up how many i've seen.

Since the end of February 2013 i've seen 54 movies.

There's been plenty of poor movies, but if i'm not paying to see anything then why not?

If i don't like it i walk out - and the only movie i walked out on (and i've had this card for 6 years) was Bruno.

Technically Plugabugz bought a ticket to every movie released that was shown in the places where is MoviePass is accepted.  He sort of has no real buying power anymore.

I don't effectively. But it does mean i don't have to really regret seeing a film. I can just decide on a whim and go.

While Bruno is the only film i've ever walked out of, there's several films i'd be pissed if i had paid money to see individually (the last one that sticks out to me is Die Hard 5).

I've never walked out of a movie, but I have slept through 1 or 2.

There was one movie that was so baaaaad, I can't remember what it was called, but it became amateur comedy hour with random comments from someone people down near the front. made the movie tolerable.

the only other time that has happened and it wasn't annoying or stupid, was when I saw Scream in the theater way back in the day. **** was hilarious. made the movie better than they could have hoped.
Luckily it was the second time I saw it, so I wasn't missing anything. Everyone was cracking up though. Best comedic experience at the theater ever. never to be properly duplicated.

Man I haven't had an experience like that in forever. Makes me miss small movie theaters.

Hell I miss the movie theaters where you could order a pitcher of beer and some chicken strips. So damn awesome. Everyone was more than a little tipsy. I may have mentioned this before but I saw Rush Hour 3 in one of those theaters and I thought it was the best movie I had ever seen. That is until I watched it again some months later.

I feel like the 'party' movie experience is dead. Last ones I experienced were for Star Wars episode 3 and Return of the King. There just seems to be no new exciting movie that has that opening night party vibe.

Doctor Who: The Day of The Doctor. That is easily the best experience i've ever had watching a movie.. and that was three months ago!

People of all ages, some even dressed up as Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels, all eleven of the Doctor's outfits, some carrying screwdrivers and mini-TARDIS' all laughing whooping and even applauding before the film started.

When i think back to watchin it, i dont think about the movie itself i just loved that extremely unique atmosphere. Nothing has ever come close.

Bad Milo!

Good toilet humor, fun, silly, B-horror monster movie starring people you might recognize. (Britta from Community, Guy that played The Tick, Boss guy from Party Down)
Recommended for those that like the above and are in a laughing mood, or in serious need for a laugh. It got the job done and was surprisingly funnier than I thought.

Men in Black (the original)

This movie holds up amazingly well. The writing for Smith and Jones is really top-notch, and the effects are great because, like Jurassic Park, the filmmakers utilize convincing animatronic characters and only use CGI when absolutely necessary. Also features Rip Torn prominently: "We're not hosting an intergalactic kegger."

This week i saw The Lego Movie (EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!), Non-Stop (a pretty close claustrophobic thriller, pretty impressed at how everyone was a potential suspect) and today i'm seeing Unforgiven.

The total annual tally is 58 movies.

About Last Night

Some pacing issues, an over emphasis on sex, and little to no character development don't completely ruin the movie.  Kevin Hart is very funny and toned down (for him).  Yes, he carries the comedy here, but he does a fairly good job.

6/10

P.S.
This is a pretty awkward movie to see with your coworkers.

Rip Torn's best movie is Freddy Got Fingered.

I did see The Lego Movie last week, it really was quite good.
