Initially, 86 songs, all master recordings, will be available to play, with music from artists like Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Van Halen, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Michael Jackson, and a whole lot of others. On top of that, many songs come in the form of "live" studio versions that may help you live the dream of playing as if you were the one recording the track in the studio.
With the promise of more songs available through the Wii's Pay & Play downloadable content service, as well as a potential endless supply of free, user-created tracks through Activision's free GHTunes service (see our impressions for more on that), there will be plenty of new music to come back to. World Tour will be available for all platforms on October 28, 2008.
