I put about a half hour or so into this game last night, and while I can't condemn it after playing that much of the game, I have a bunch of issues with it.
The lighting (or lack thereof) is trying to be moody, but instead I just don't know where the hell I am and get lost often. The game also doesn't seem to guide you too well, as I'm currently trapped in the second area of the game going up to every door and seeing if I can open it.
The one thing that I can say right now is that it is decently atmospheric regardless of the terrible lighting. The use of the phone is alright for now, and it's a mixture of creepy/humorous when a "ghost" calls the phone you picked up and is like "I'm coming to get my phone" in a dumb creepy voice. Speaking of which, the voice acting is crap so far, and I want to burn things when the game tells the story through a conversation that's displayed in white text on a black screen, or when it's displayed over someone sitting at a computer and typing.
I'm getting the sinking feeling that this game will fall into the category of "cool idea, horrible execution." I hope it gets better.
