The thing that hurts TP isn't its story or its formula. It's the fans. If TP was your first and only game experience, you would treasure it like I do.
TP was my first true Zelda experience. I played LoZ on NES for a while back then, but I never got into it. I think the game's amazing, but I hope for a new Zelda where orchestral music is used.

I really doubt they'd make a 2D NSMB2 for Wii, that wouldn't have nearly the selling power as a fully 3D game (it works fine on DS but when you are talking about a console, not sure that is going to fly).
I think the only way it would work if it was through WiiWare (but 330 blocks or so isn't enough, is it?).

A new Luigi's Mansion that uses M+ would be great.

Hopefully the Mario title the article does not refer to is the new Mario & Sonic game.  :-\

Otherwise... I'm all up for both a new Galaxy/NSMB and a sequel to Wii Fit!

Oooh. I loved the first three games in the series (have not played TC2), so I'll keep an eye on this. I'd like to see how they can expand from mostly using the pointer to actual "operating" gestures. Screenshots show that co-op will also be available.

On a side note, a friend of mine, despite the fact the game has a less grotesque and more simplistic nature than real surgery, gets queasy from watching me operate. So I wonder how the new procedures like diagnostics will be presented... perhaps you check for boils on patients with bubonic plague.

Wii Fit Plus might be hard to speculate on because... what can you do with both the Balance Board and MotionPlus to create new exercise activities?

What I'd really like to see though, are more Aerobics games. Wii Fit only had 4 distinct games. Also a "Play-All" feature that can automatically have the player circle through the Yoga and Strength Training exercises either consecutively, randomly, or alternatively.

Forgive me for briefly derailing here...
It could have allowed people to write their own material, but instead you can just record a performance of already written songs (most of which are cheap ass public domain music).
You don't just record a performance of written songs, it allows you arrange the songs in a way that you see fit. It encourages people to be creative and try out different playing styles. Not many people can easily write their own material (plus all I can see with such a feature is more copying existing songs) nor is the control scheme for Wii Music really appropriate for professional song writing. There are dozens of computer programs that already do that. Instead it allows the player to mess around with the soundtrack for the song, playing it as they want. I've made at least 20 arrangements of songs that I'm happy with, others I need to find ways to improve them. To me, Wii Music is not just a free form music game, but I also see it as a sort of introduction to music theory: how music actually works. I'm happy with the finished product.

Oooh. I still play Wii Fit (I aim to do 40 push-ups in Push-Up Challenge by the end of this summer), but I've been looking forward to a sequel for a while. If it incorporates Wii MotionPlus (which it probably/obviously will), that'll be good for the 3 or 4 Strength-Training activities in Wii Fit that used the Remote only but weren't very effective.

I personally liked Wii Music...  :-\

While I admit that some of it is nice to listen to, it feels like the bulk of it is needless complaining and cursing. I'm not the sensitive prick that gets all up in one's face if someone drops the F-bomb, but peppering curses for the hell of it is very poor and tiresome. It doesn't feel much different than the many other bitchy things I've come across, it's mostly BS like "Nintendo won't give us what we want cuz it's not cost worthy," "Nintendo's like, 'You want Zelda? Well FU!'" and the occasional stab at Wii Music (which is a game I enjoyed, BTW) or the casual direction Nintendo's taking.

It's just that I personally support the decisions Nintendo's made (not all, but most), and with all the complaints, bitching, and jabs out there... NWR podcast isn't much different... it's simply the vibe I get from it. That's just my opinion, no offense to anyone. <_<

In the countdown, press and hold down the Accelerator right when 2 begins to fade.

I used to go to TMK a lot in past few years, as Mario was my main focus. Now that the Wii is out I have opened myself up to more types of games. TMK has fewer updates than it used to, its forums are not what they used to be, and NWR updates pretty much daily and judging on a few of the posts here, it feels there is more enforcement for the rules or something. I have been coming here for the past year or so to read news and reviews (and a little of the blog), and I have been a guest at a forums for a while during that time, reading replies to reviews and things. I have only listened to 2 or 3 of the podcasts, but I do not particularly enjoy them honestly...

Judging myself as a gamer, I feel that I am somewhere between hardcore and casual. I enjoy Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Pokémon, some Resident Evil, Smash Bros, and more... but I also like other games that are very light, like the Wii series and some of the non-game software like Personal Trainer: Cooking. I currently look forward to Wii Sports Resort and Cursed Mountain (maybe Tiger Woods 10), and some others. My friends call me a total "Wii-tard" as I own 4 Remotes, 2 Nunchuks, 2 Wheels, a Zapper, 2 Classic Controllers, and a Balance Board, and have 20+ games (not including the VC and WiiWare). The Wii is the only Nintendo system I have been this obsessed about (the N64 is second).
