Nintendo Gaming / Officially Official Sonic Adventure DX Discussion
« on: June 22, 2003, 03:37:03 PM »
I got my SADX the day it came out and today I unlocked Metal Sonic, its much better then that blasted Green Hill in SA2.

As for the game getting a 5.0 that is just super unfair. I give it a 8.0 becuase I had so much fun with it.
I don't know how they can give SA2B a 6.9 and give this game which happens to be at least 10 times better 5.0.

Unlike SA2, the shooting and treasure hunting stages are very well designed, much easier, and much more fun. Fishing is very easy unless your trying to get all the emblems and Amy is just a much slower Sonic.  The running stages aren't as big as something you would find in a Mario game but they aren't nearly as linear or short as the ones in SA2 and most are at least twice the size.

My main problems are the bugs, and the camera. But unlike SA2 if the camera gets caught behind a wall you can change the standard camera to  the Free Camera and it will be free from the wall. It controls a bit like Sunshine and the WW except it doesn't zoom in or out. The voice acting isn't anything to boast about at all but its not the worst thing in the world ether. Characters like Tails and Amy are much more tolarable in this game rather then SA2  IMO.

I recomend this game to any Sonic fan. But maybe I love this game so much because I never really played it befor on the DC. And for  $40 it was cheaper to buy that instead of a DC and the origonal.

Nintendo Gaming / Mario Kart Discussion (TALK ABOUT MARIO KART HERE)
« on: June 03, 2003, 12:37:32 PM »
Has anyone noticed that  unlike the old Mario Karts on this game the same character can be used twice? Maybe you guys braught it up earlier but it makes me think there will be just a bit more than 20 characters.  Mario was riding with Bowser but on the rank list Bowser was also with Baby Bowser riding a kart.

Nintendo Gaming / Pokemon RPG finally official*
« on: May 24, 2003, 05:19:05 AM »
I could have sworn that the Pokemon Company are CONSIDERING making a Pokemon RPG.  I saw it at Cube-Europe,  http://www.cube-europe.com/news.php?nid=4576

"Tsunekazu Ishihara of Creatures Inc. who make the Pokémon games said to Degenki that they are considering making a Pokémon RPG."

Ether way just the thought of it makes me happy. It's the Pokemon games that will really sell the GC in Japan. The Stadium games might sell  2-5 million Cubes alone, but I bet a game like this would go from 5-10 million.

Nintendo Gaming / Lack of everything...
« on: May 17, 2003, 08:01:13 AM »
E3 was just fine for me, though I did expect a new Mario. But now I see some of you talking about SW this year so im fine and dandy. The only thing im dissapointed with is the Kirby's Air Ride impressions, and Sonic Heroes not being exclusive. I know Star Fox and everything else will turn out just fine.

Nintendo Gaming / Star Fox
« on: May 16, 2003, 02:20:25 PM »
Im much more interested in the single player also. I know the game is focused more on the multiplayer but I really hope the single player is just as good as Star Fox 64 but being at least twice the size, with lots and lots of stages.  But I don't think Nintendo would let Namco screw it up.

And I wonder if their will be missions on foot in the story mode. I really hope not, I just wan't  lots of Arwing and just the right amount of Land Master, at least 10.

And if the multiplayer is good(and I know it will be) this game will be sure to last, just like Smash and Time Splitters.

One more thing, has Peppy been mentioned at least once yet? I wouldn't mind him being tooken out of the Arwings and stuff since hes about 52-54 now, but I would at least like him to be apart of the story.

This hands on preview has made me so happy.

The great thing is the game is still fast, there was no camera complaints and... just read it.

All thoughs chaotix characters from the comics were in an old Sonic(Knuckles) game long time ago and will not have any ties to the comics trust me. Its just now Charmy(Bee) Vector(Crocidile) and Espio(purple chameleon) are now official Sonic Team characters.

I wonder if you will actualy control all 3 characters at once or swich of like the Donkey Kong Country games. Ether way it sure looks much more fun than anything in the Adventure series.  But something still kind of bothers me, I hope each Team of characters will have high speed stages. The Amy, Cream, and Big Team looks like they will play kinda slow not running as much as the others, I just can't see Big running in a loop. But since they all seem to be in the same area I guess it will be all good.

Shadow is back and that kinda ruins SA2's ending, I really hope there is a good reason why he is back. Him, Rouge and that Robot seem bad, and that really doesn't make sense becuase of the ending of SA2. They still just might be good but called Team Dark. Im almost positive this isn't another lousy hero/dark thing becuase the hero side far out wieghs the dark. And to top it all off the enemy was called the "ultimate evil" instead of just Eggman or something, so their cant be a her/dark story thingy.

Nintendo Gaming / Did Miyamoto promise a realistic Zelda next?
« on: May 11, 2003, 12:40:43 PM »
I loved everything about WW and could care less if the next Zeld is was more realistic or still cell shaded. I just didn't like how easy it was, the only thing that almost killed me was fighting all them bad guys on Outset, falling into the holes over 50 times past the chart to get that single heart piece.

Nintendo does read the reviews of their games, becuase of the Sunshine's reviews Zelda was made to be much easier. If whats shown at the end of the last Nintendo power is true then im guessing we will at least be using an adult Link in the next game.

Nintendo Gaming / FF:CC needs more than one GBA?
« on: May 10, 2003, 08:50:24 AM »
I have plenty of friends/foes with GBA's and only 2 others with a GBA/GC link cable and 3 GBA's in my house with one being an SP. And sometimes when a big multiplayer game first comes out(like when SSBM and TS2 came out) we plan a day on the weekend just for thoughs games, and because of that were dorks. And since some of us aren't casual gamers we never chill at my house and play games just to pass the time to go to some kind of party or something like that, because we are so uncool.

Any way this is no problem for me, and i'd much rather have the GBA's for a players own screen rather then the game getting paused every 2 seconds for someone to pick a spell or something.
All I need is one more GC/GBA link cable so my brother and sister could play with me.

Sonic can run up to 750 mph, hence the name Sonic, you know speed of sound.

Nintendo Gaming / Star Fox Armada: MIA
« on: April 30, 2003, 07:21:42 PM »
Focusing on multiplayer ayy? Excelent, I hope they don't take alot away from single player just for multiplayer though. Or at least everything that can be done in single player could be done in a 2 player co-op mode. And I always liked Star Fox 64 much better than the origonal, I just loved all range mode and doing all thoughs cool moves with the arwing.

Nintendo Gaming / Mario Kart Discussion (TALK ABOUT MARIO KART HERE)
« on: April 29, 2003, 05:09:51 PM »
I hope Sonic is never in a Mario Kart game, I wouldn't be saying that if he didn't pull a Crash on me.

Nintendo Gaming / Star Fox Armada: MIA
« on: April 27, 2003, 07:14:49 PM »
I loved Star Fox 64 sooo much. We use to play battle mode in my house all the time. I loved all range mode, the locking on, summer saults, U-Turns it was so super fun. I remember when ever someone would chase my tail and just do everything I did I would summer sault and shoot a bomb into the ground and make someone fly slowly into the explosion... GOOD TIMES!!!

The voice acting was pretty good for me. It wasn't bad at all. My view of bad is Sonic Adventure. There just wasn't enough tank stages for me.  I found the ending to be pretty good with James leading you out of Venom and then vanishing. I thought the way SFA did that same thing with Falco was incredibly forced and stupid, just MO.

Any way can't wait for Armada, I just hope its co-op and is as good as SF64.

Nintendo Gaming / Billy Hatcher Discussion
« on: April 26, 2003, 05:29:44 AM »
As much as I love Sonic Team I can see this game suffering from a bad camera and bad voice acting. But who knows maybe with this next gen hardware they will be able to do something about the camera.

The only reason why I say it will have a bad camera is becuase it was said by Sonic Team that this will be a high-speed platformer. And if they can't get Sonic right with the camera then I doub't this one will be any better.  But then again this one may come out very good, Sonic Team learns from it and makes a very good Sonic game.

Nintendo Gaming / GCN Soul Calibur 2 outsells PS2 Version!!
« on: April 23, 2003, 04:53:49 PM »
Well the GameCube got pointed out in that new Jamie Kennedy movie where he's raping about Beverly Hills, or was it Malibu? Yeah it's called Malibus Most Wanted. Oh and good for Nintendo.

« on: April 23, 2003, 04:26:06 PM »
I think he looked at the pics like the rest of us and just named the characters shown so far.

It looks very fun, I can't wait. I just want to know if all races will have two characters per vehicle. Or will there be single driver races with the same karts or origonal ones. Ether way I know im gonna love it to death.

Nintendo Gaming / Another Zelda in development?
« on: April 20, 2003, 06:52:03 PM »
I think what Lord_die_seis meant by  Miyamoto not wanting Zelda to go realistic like SA1 and 2 he ment by the fantasy elements in the game. I wouldn't say SA1 but SA2 had all them realistic stages and areas Sonic and co. ran around in. Alot of the make believe jibberish wasn't there and I don't think i'd like the a Zelda game as much if it went super realistic.

Nintendo Gaming / Another Zelda in development?
« on: April 20, 2003, 12:28:05 PM »
In one of his recent interviews Miyamoto said that they still have all that SW2K stuff and its up and running, he said something like they didn't just throw it away. He said something about using it if a Zelda game requires it.

Does anyone remember when he said he didn't like where Zelda was going with the realistic graphics and that earing? But in that interview I was just talking about he said that they still love the realistic Link. Maybe they just love Link and hate the realistic world he was in.

Nintendo Gaming / Has anyone seen the new EGM?
« on: April 20, 2003, 12:18:59 PM »
There is review in it of Sonic Adventure DX and I was already told it recieved a 5 out of 10 but all the chazwazers who read it can't seem to remember what else it said. If anyone read the review could you please tell me why it got such a bad rating especialy since that gave that craptacular SA2B a 7 out of 10?

But its funny, could they already have the game this early? I know magizines get games early but this seems a bit too early, kind of like what they did with ED.

Nintendo Gaming / Another Zelda in development?
« on: April 20, 2003, 12:10:48 PM »
When the next Zelda comes out I will be angry if character emotions are not shown just as much or even more then they were in the WW.  If realisticnes takes that away then I don't want it, if realistic graphics make Link look stupid when he does his flashing A moves then I would be angry. I don't care if its realistic or not as long as thoughs things are present. And Miyamoto did say they would make at least 2 Zeldas for the GCN.

Nintendo Gaming / Pokemon Box

The only way I see this thing getting put to good use is if its for a 3D RPG storage system, but if this thing is its own disc it makes no blasted sense.

I just saw the article at cube-europe and I am quite shocked. What is Nintendo thinking, I am a big Pokemon fan and I most likely will buy it becuase its so cheap. But really now, there has to be much more to this than what is said.

Nintendo Gaming / Major Konami announcement tomorow!?
« on: April 13, 2003, 04:16:48 PM »
I know MGS will have a much better affect on the GCN but I wish we could just have both. I love DDR sooooo much, but now that I see that its going to the X-Box I have a very small feeling it will eventualy come out for the cube. If it happend that way with MG it could happen with DDR.
