Regarding the bonus segment; Alien Crush actually had a sequel on WiiWare. Good times

On one hand, castlevania; on the other, one of most entertaining co op games in the snes. Guess the fact that one is already on my Wii is asgood a tiebreaker as any.

way to dash my hopes of seeing Cursed Mountain on this list. That game actually had some great mechanics in it hidden in the terrible pressentation. Though it can't compare to any Silent Hill

Leahy is a tease, and I demand DEMAND follow up on his play through of Deadly Premonitions.

Man I forgot how much fun Mario VS Luigi was till it was mentioned above. I spend hours in that in the college breakroom

Do I smell Insanity Effects? Eternal Darkness 2 BUILT INTO THE CONSOLE :O

but if a registered physical copy gets you a digital one, what is to stop holder of the disk to resell it? and then what happens when the 2nd owner tries to get a digital one?

mn what does it say about me that I got the Tomb Raider AND the Final Jeopardy yet none of the Zelda questions? Other then Zach needs to show up more often on Radio Trivia. What a fun idea guys, hope to see it more on the future.

Glad to hear #5! I almost forgot about that request till track 1 triggered latent memories of giant mallets, spikes and trying to get the final suit (trickier then the actual end boss.) I am little surprised to discover that the laughter vocal that is also being looped through that level was not actually integrated into the music. VV pulls all kinds of tricks to push their portable games presentations. Now I want to pull this out and maybe try the companion game on the dual cart I found it on, "Wolverine's Revenge." Thanks again for a great show!

Personally my money is on Pinball of the Dead

I'm torn, because I REALLY miss the Twisted Metal franchise and the previous Transformers games were fairly mediocre. but... TRANSFORMERS :O
Also that van in the 2nd image feels like it should have a clown head on top.

Well excelant! I remember reading about that game forever ago and have been wondering what happened to it. I think this may just  be the thing to follow up Cursed Mountain with. (which is also a treat if you haven't played it yet)

Just for the record. Zack didn't do anything wrong. I'm guessing sillysaurus was the name for the offline profile that he set up that is completely wiped as soon as he turns it into a Live profile and reassigns it to a randomly generated name until you use your one free gamertag change. It all happened with the update last fall. gotta support my fellow dinosaur nerd there.

Yes :D spread the good word of Soul Bubbles! That only reminds me that a few episodes back you guys had an email asking about other interactive type adventure games (tangent I realize) and I've been meaning to send in a write-up about a DS game I found tucked in a Gamestop awhile back called 'Thereisa.' It is a sort of adventure/maze game with inventory based puzzle solving and story that could rival 999 for 'wtf in horror'ness. There is a second story unlocked after you beat the first one two that I haven't gotten too yet so there is a lot of bang for the $8 I spent. Good times thus far. I'll send off a formal shoutout once I get to the second tale.

I think I may be the only one excitedly voting for Soul Bubbles which makes me very sad. I finally got a chance to finish the game recently since I had to replace my old copy of it and was actually thinking of sending in a shout email about it when i heard about the new poll. I probably will anyway at this rate.

Bottom line though it is a must have experience if you enjoy all the things that the DS hardware excels at

I may have to talk to my roommate about this... we are both big enough nerds that it might justify each getting a version of this game.....

TalkBack / Re: Obituary: PSP 2000
« on: August 06, 2010, 09:46:27 PM »
Yea it really is sad considering how much potential the device has/had. i initially got mine FOR it's multifunctionality because I didn't want to carry around both a laptop and the brick of an original DS where ever I go. but in the end I was forced to go with a custom firmware just for stupid easy things like text readers or IM support that Sony easily could have implemented long before something like their limited internet radio.
Nothing Sony has done with it has really made any sense at all. Comics alone were a shocker (especially to a nerd like me) but they STILL lack the basic functionality of a text reader.

iunno, it is wacky.
