Nintendo Gaming / Specific Best Buy pre-order issue.

The reason it didn't get any responses is probably that nobody knows.  Not getting an answer isn't an excuse to go ahead and make another thread.

I have no idea what you're talking about...I just played the normal songs from the list and then later I believe you have to follow their pattern.

His problem is that they even though they removed his name from the title they used it to promote the game anyways despite the agreements.

Nintendo Gaming / OoT and Master Quest Discussion
« on: February 14, 2003, 10:13:26 AM »
Framerate drops and slowdown are two different things. Sometimes they occur simultaneously, but framerate drops do happen at times when there is no slowdown.  You'll basically just notice that there are frames skipped from an animation or camera pan. So, let's say someone moves their arm and it suddenly goes from down by their side to up by their chest.  Chances are the framerate dropped for some reason. It's easier to spot this in games that normally run at 60 frames per second because the animation normally looks very smooth.

I haven't noticed any framerate drops playing Master Quest (I jumped straight to it since the story's the same.), but after playing Wind Waker, it's pretty easy to see that OoT is running at a significantly lower framerate and it took me a while to readjust.

See the many other threads on this.  YES,  stores are breaking the date, but you'd better check with them before you give them your money.

Nintendo Gaming / Correct Chronological Order for Legend of Zelda???
« on: February 13, 2003, 09:16:42 AM »
I never even thought about how Ganon breaking out of the Sacred Realm affected LttP.  Just another reason, not to take this timeline thing so seriously because there are always going to be holes.  Nintendo just makes new stories that are sometimes based on previous stories, and they don't bother too much with connecting all of them into one cohesive storyline.

Changed the topic a bit so people see this as the place to post about the bonus disc.

3715
There are multiple official threads in Talkback. In the case that you want to post in this area, "When will the Zelda Presale start?" is a perfectly appropriate thread that your comment would have fit in, and it has been around the longest.  Now, maybe I can re-title it to make it clear that it's a little more general than the title might imply, but that should have been easy to tell just by looking at the thread.

But not one of those topic titles fits in what-so-ever with the fact that I went to Target and got the bonus disc for free

That's really the essence of this. Everyone gets back and thinks they have to make a whole new topic that they got the disc at X store when it really isn't anything different than what everyone else has been saying.

Should I really have to go read the threads you locked before I post a message?

No, but you should have read the sticky thread I made at the top and found which of the five threads I linked to was most appropriate.  There are 31 comments in today's Talkback article.  I'm sure you'd find active conversation and interested readers there.

Also, you should have read the rules which state that public complaining is a bannable offense.  We tend not to ban people unless they're really nasty, but it's in the rules all the same and you should have sent me a private message or e-mail.

Nintendo Gaming / I Wanna Talk About The Bonus Disc
« on: February 12, 2003, 05:35:25 PM »
As you may have noticed, everyone and their entire extended family seems to want to talk about the N64 game coming out on GameCube more than the new Zelda releasing next month.  The fact is that you don't need a new thread to do that.  There are already several.

In Talkback we have four current threads.

Zelda Bonus Shipping Already

Zelda Date Break

Zelda Bonus Disc Details
and
Zelda Pre-Orders Look Strong

And for those of you who want to talk about the preorder bonus right here, I found three main relevant threads.

When will the Zelda Presale start?

Does anyone know if europe is getting the Zelda OOT/URA bonus disk?

Zelda: WindWaker bonus disk booklet preview pics(possible spoilers)

There are even a couple of others if you look, but please no more new threads on an old game.

Funny, I gave the reason when I closed them.  There are far too many threads on the exact same topic.  We now have two threads in Talkback relating to this, and there are still one or two that I left alone in here.  Please use the existing threads to speak on a topic.
