This thread has been madly derailed.

I pretty much gave up on them, but you have to rub a small area back and forth.

I played the Japanese version for a bit. It's actually pretty cool. I don't know if there are a whole lot of objectives, but just free-roaming down the slopes is fun.

You can get the soundtrack on itunes now. 36 songs for $9.99. Not a bad deal, especially if you're used to spending $30 - $50 to import these suckers.

Brandon, who reads most of the scripts, is actually one of the guys who started the site back in the day. If you listen to episode 5 of Invisible Walls, you can get the full story. The other guy (Rob) is one of our video editors who's also an actor.

So one question, Blood,
LOL

do you guys have narrators that narrate the review for you or do you write and narrate your own reviews?
It's just one voice over guy. There's one or two others who can do it in a pinch.

Quote
And who are the narrators? I recognize two of them as being the main ones.
Brandon Jones and Rob Kerkovich. Brandon is one of the site's founders and does most of the voice over and is in charge of features and retrospectives. You can learn more by checking out the Invisible Walls episode that mentions the "special guest".

Oh yeah, what happens if in the event of discovering something very important in a game but forgot to mention it in the review do you go back and re-edit the review of the game or do you keep it as it, but mention it on the game's page?
I've never had anything happen quite like that. If that had to happen, then we'd likely recut the review.

Depends on the battle, the rank varies greatly though the result always seems to be around 3-7 PP. Off-time gives you one PP per 10 minutes I think, that adds up quickly. I play the game on the commute so it's only on for an hour or two a day. Plenty of time to get PP. To match the 144 PP on the first day I'd have to fight 20-30 battles, that's a lot and I don't fight nearly as much per day. I'd have expected something like 5-10 PP per day, when I turned the DS on for the first time after getting the shutdown sticker all my equipped pins shot up to max level.

I was getting between 30 - 150 PP out of each battle. Try raising your difficulty setting or lowering your experience level.

yes

BTW, am I the only one whose pins level faster when the system is off than when I'm playing?

Are you getting high ranks in battles? Your pin experience is based on performance, so if you're always getting Es, it's gonna be slow going. You'd have to be spending a lot of time between sessions to make up for it too.

Woot, my review is up, my retail copy came today, and I got my Neku figurine. All in one day. Awesome.

Another game that I want to confirm is awesome. Yes I gave it a 6.9 for being downright dull at times, but at the same time I think players with a bit more patience will find plenty to love.

I don't know that you could even call it WWII. It's 1935, but there are just two huge countries, and I'm not even sure which side are the good guys. It's definitely cool, I'm just afraid that people watching will think it's just a slow shooter instead of a really immersive strategy game.

Yeah, it's definitely hard to dodge. You basically have to press on Neku and then drag, but like you said, that input overlaps with a lot of pin inputs. I finally beat it last night, and afterwards you can skip to any chapter to collect pins and extra reports related to the story. The plot is really good by the way, and it keeps you guessing to the very end.

Back to the subject at hand, how are people doing so far? I've got two days left in the third game. I just ordered a retail copy too since the ROM will have to go back to S-E.

I do not understand this "put stuff on my desk" mentality.

I like nice things. Also my co-workers have all kinds of crazy stuff like Solid Snake, Cloud on a Motorcycle, Transformers, Kratos, Phoenix Wright, etc.
