Yeah, I looked on youtube today and it is all there.

Speaking of the music I must say I'm very impressed.  The music is very well done and has a lot of catchy tunes.  Definitely captures the feel of Classic Megaman music.

The only song I didn't like was Jewel Man's song. I only listened to the songs once so I might like Jewelman's song the more I listen to it.

VGMaps.com has two maps from the game...and it's not even out yet!

http://www.vgmaps.com/Atlas/Wii/index.htm#MegaMan9

The mapper, TenguMan, says he recreated the maps by watching videos of the stages.  Is that hardcore, or what???

After getting my ass handed to me by Mega Man 2, and on normal difficulty no less, I've decided that I probably won't be buying this game, at least not until I get better at MM2. Mega Man 2 is having the same effect on me that Kid Icarus did, though, where I'm making absolutely no progress but I'm enjoying myself and I keep playing, and after playing Kid Icarus for a year and a half I've made it all the way to the 4th level, so I guess there's some hope.

Here's a hint, fight Metal Man first.  Dont want to spoil anything but lets just say his weapon makes the game easy, REALLY EASY.

I don't see myself buying this either. I love old-school games, but they always required so much work. I never had the patience for Mega Man. At least Contra had multiplayer which I guess, was the only reason I gave a damn.

I mean no offense by this, but how can you have a hard time with MM2 on Normal?  I beat it on Difficult last night and it was extremely easy for me until the last couple of bosses in Wily's Castle.  I haven't played the game in years, so it's not like I remember the boss order or strategies required to beat them.

Megaman 2 is much easier than Megaman, heck I go through my random order of bosses and I still think it's an easy game on Normal. I have yet to beat it because I was sidetracked by another game, but once I do I will give the Difficult mode a go at it..

Mega Man 9 has been confirmed for a September 22 release date on WiiWare.  ;D

PSN will get it on Sept. 25 and Xbox Live gets it Oct. 1.

Proto Man confirmed as DLC for Mega Man 9

Quote
- hits October 6th for 200 Wii Points
- has the ability to slide, and charge shots
- some bullets can be deflected with shield
- contact with bullets pushes Proto Man back twice as far as Mega Man
- charge shot is interrupted when Proto Man is hit
- no Rush adapters, they are Proto adapters (sled, coil, more)

I...I might actually buy that!

It's a partially different way to play the game, and if I like Mega Man 9 enough, then it'll be worth it, really.

I will buy Proto Man.

Here is hoping for a full Mega Man 3 Mega Man...though really Proto Man is basically Mega Man with a shield.

Freakin' awesome news! I've always wanted to play as Protoman after MM7 (where you can obtain his Sheild) and The Power Battles/Fighters. Its funny how in that style of gameplay, a slight change in the way your character plays affects the game.
Kinda how like Bass as an enemy seems like a hyper-megaman clone, but when they let you play as him in game they give you the double-jump, the dash, and the rapid shot to seperate him from mega man in play style.

The only bad thing is when a character is bad ass when he's an NPC, then when you finally get him they gimp-him. I'm lookin at you Zero! When i heard you could play as him in MMX3 i was excited because i'd remember the battle against him in MMX2 and how much of a bad ass he was. Then they made him a slow moving tank...bleh.

7.0 Presentation
Dated by design, but also exactly what Capcom was going for. The story is lame, some of the master robots look really silly, but it's all intended. Lots of options and fan service to check out.
3.0 Graphics
A true "period piece" in gaming. Hardcore will love it, but when put against other download games, it won't look pretty. We wouldn't have it any other way though. Classic, and dated by design.
8.5 Sound
The throwback, 8-bit riffs are classic. Awesome music. Again, dated, but by design.
9.0 Gameplay
You can run, jump, and fire straight. Despite its simplicity though, Mega Man 9 is a mastery of 2D platforming. A few balance issues with guns and level difficulty can be found at times though.
8.5 Lasting Appeal
It's a short game, but like its 8-bit inspirations, it's also timeless. Once we beat it, we started again. Fun time trials, challenges, future downloadable content, and awesome level work overall.

Overall 8.6

Clearly IGN still can't properly review if their life depended on it.

Also all 3 versions will be 4:3, there will be fake widescreen (boarders). The 360 achievements are just linked from some of the in game challenges that each version has(I think).  No trophy support on the PS3 version.

Party bear - the timing is because Nintendo puts up games on Monday in NA, MS puts them up on Wednesdays (but 1 week after the competition's versions thats just retarded) and Sony puts up games on Thursdays.

The graphics score is a joke.  3.0?  When it's MEANT to look like an NES game?  Way to score a game out of context, IGN.

Yeah I agree, they should of scored it as a NES styled game considering the style is done deliberately.

Depends on whether their scoring rules account for that, it's likely that they don't have such a rule because then they'd have to adjust the rating for every stylized game and that'd just cause arguments.

I always say, score the game for what it is not what you think it should be.  Look at IGN's reviews for Mega Man and Mega Man 2 on VC: MM got an 8.0 for graphics, MM2 got an 8.5.  How is MM9 any different from those games when it's SUPPOSED to look like an NES game?  It's like they scored it low on principle.
