If you're going to go for puppets, go for the best.

We have confirmation that the Jim Henson Company was a part of Nintendo's E3.

UK games writer Chris Scullion confirmed that the puppet work for the Nintendo Digital Event was done by the Jim Henson Company, with Brian Henson actually directing the segments.

Some of the puppet extras in the segment also appeared on the UK programme "That Puppet Game Show", which currently airs on the BBC.

Wait, doesn't that make them Muppets? Or is that a more exclusive qualification?

I think it's a more exclusive qualification.

But I thought they looked top quality!  The caption says it all.

IIRC, it's something as simple as capitalization, like Big Bird is a mupppet, but he's not a Muppet.

As for the story itself, if it wasn't obvious just looking at the 3 main muppets that the Jim Henson Company was involved, the assistant character had a big blue nose reminiscent of a member of the Dr. Teeth & the Electric Mayhem Muppet band.
There was a Signature here. It's gone now.

That was the only good thing about the Direct. They should use these Starfox puppets in the game, but they probably won't.

Say what you will about the Digital Event, the presentation value & usage of Mario Marker sequences as cut-aways was never the problem.  I wondered if this was the case as I was watching it on Tuesday.
