I'm really hoping Mysterio makes the cut or that The Lizard has a further transformation to not look like a Goomba from Super Mario the Movie if he comes back assuming the full trilogy is realized here.

Here is how I see the Sinister Six Trilogy playing out

ASM 2. Main villain is Electro, with the rise of Green Goblin being the secondary story. Rhino is minor sub plot. Gwen dies near the end.
 
 ASM 3. Mysterio* is the main villian, Green Goblin is still in the background. MJ is introduced during the film, The Vulture* is the minor sub plot. Doc Ock is introduced.
 (Symbiote seeds can be planted here)
 
 ASM 4. Doc Ock*, Mysterio**, Rhino, The Vulture, Electro & The Green Goblin, all under the Green Goblins lead form the Sinister Six. Spider-man uses the Symbiote to defeat them. MJ helps him shed the symbiote suit at the end.
 
 Trilogy is complete. new series can begin:
 ASM 5: Main villian is Venom. The Hobgoblin is the secondary plot.


*You can switch Mysterio w/ Dock Ock as the main villian in ASM 3,
**and then switch out Mysterio with The Lizard if he comes back in ASM 4, but I would LOVE to see Mysterio be the main bad guy in a Spider-man movie.

Yes. If ratings stay where they are, then it's the 2nd most watched show behind NCIS (in it's time slot and night) if what I was reading was accurate. I think that will all but guarantee it a 2nd season. not written in stone yet though.

The second half (back 9) of the show after the winter break will probably see a shift in tone from the 1st half that was written before feedback came in and the full order was placed. I think it will be tweaked a little to address some of the issues lots of people are having with plot progression and character development.
I know the show can't exactly go full throttle like Arrow, but they can weave an ongoing plot in the background that progresses throughout every episode, while still keeping the relatively stand alone style plots thoughout several episodes.

I;m assuming most reasonable peoples problems with the show stem from the feeling of it all not building up to anything and going no where real fast. This would be fixed if we saw more of what AIM was up to with the centipede formula from time to time. Or who that guys was in the prison and why we should remember him. More "Girl in the Flower Dress" and less random artifact that has no connection to anything.

I was joking mostly. I don't mind the Schumacher films as since I look at them as a reboot of the 60s Batman series which is just as campy and crappy,

Outside of that the best Batman movie is Batman Begins and if were counting animated ones as well Mask of Phantasm.

Have we already discussed the Walking with Dinosaurs 3D movie coming out later this month?

It's all about Alaska dinosaurs (with the exception of some caegnathids, which aren't even in Alberta). The narration is, as always, questionable in these sorts of movies. I'm hoping the DVD/BR will feature a no-voiceover option. Anyway, pretty stoked about it.

The show isn't afraid to call him Green Arrow but if you've been watching it their going with the obvious progression of a hero trope. The first season is really a Revenge story and that's why Ollie is only called the Hood or the Vigilante. Season 2 is about becoming a Hero for the city hence why the first episoide is titled a city of heroes and Ollie is now being referred to as the Arrow and getting a domino mask.

Its weird you saw its CW drivel and that it doesn't follow the source material when the best comics are one part cape stories and one part soap opera. Its one of the reasons why most comics especially 60s marvel focused on all aspects of our heroes where in the same issue we would see Spiderman fight Doc Ock, there would be equal time of him going on a Date with Betty Brant or fretting that he may have put Aunt May into the hospital.

I mean this was a panel in last week's issue of the Flash


or an issue from superman a few months back where Half the issue is clark at a house warming party with his new girlfriend.



Plus the show has been doing a lot of work building not only featuring DC charcters like Huntress or Shado but also using places and terms like Star Labs, Argus, Big Belly Burger, Amazo.

I hope it is currently the baseline for shows of it's kind as far as pace and scope are concerned.
It's not perfect, but it's the best we've ever had for this kind of show, IMO.

On being called Green Arrow - Shingi already addressed it, but they are building up to that. What did you want him to do? Stand on a roof top and proclaim to the citizens that they should call him THE GREEN ARROW!!!? I'm pretty sure Superman didn't pick his own name either, I'm sure it was given to him by someone else and then kinda stuck. He didn't tell everyone what to call him. Soem thing is happening here. It's happening organically. the name is evolving, and eventually he will be saddled with the name we know him by.

The romance sub plots don't make sense for a Clark Kent who's more Timd and a one woman girl but Green Arrow's secret identity is that of Ollie Queen who's known for being a man whore of Nightwing propotions in and put of being GA.

 It didn't help that in Smallville the series ruined Lana by having her and Clark be all broddy and not just be friends after the break up. After Lana l broke up with Clark the relationship should have been similar to this.

Nope. I was always a Marvel kid.

DC wasn't my cup of tea.
Superman was stupid, Batman was badass, but everyone else was overpowered or a jumbled mess of nonsense.

Everything I know about Green Arrow is from cartoons, comic clips posted online, TV Shows and general internetting.

But that has nothing to do with how awesome Arrow has been, especially this 2nd season so far.
If you're a comic purist, then great, go do some reading, but compromises have to be made when bringing things to life... especially on a TV budget.

TV shouldn't just blatently follow the source Material and Arrow first season takes alot of inspiration from The Longbow Hunters from Mike Grell and the Year One story from Andy Diggle and Jock.


Even in the current Green Arrow run by Lemire and Sorentio team Arrow usually calls Ollie Arrow for short hand. I mean for what Arrow or was until this season the show made a ton of sense.


Comic Purists are usually pretty terrible to be honest. Its one of the reasons why we got Hal Jordan in the GL film instead of Hal Jordan. Well that and Geoff Johns loves his mary sue's.
