Two great shows I've been watching that are currently on break, but both aired this year with their first season:

That was known since Spring.

I've watched all four available shorts and they're great.

Really reminiscent of golden age animation stuff.

Nice of Disney doing something with their supposed mascot.

It's hilarious and very, very, very sad to see some ignorant people thinking stuff like

http://s50.radikal.ru/i130/1307/bc/44f66770cb98.gif

has no place in Mickey Mouse. Yeah, let's forget 70+ years worth of animation legacy.

Yay! Disney is finally making animated shorts again (without the help of Pixar)! I hope Disney stays true to the characters and doesn't try to "modernize" them like WB did with The Looney Tunes Show...

Now when is Warner Bros. going to revitalize their animation division? They can't compete with Disney or DreamWorks with the current crappy shows they have on TV. They need to bring back the following:

- Animaniacs
- Pinky & The Brain
- Tiny Toons
- classic Looney Tunes (in the style of Chuck Jones and Friz Freleng)

And why isn't WB doing anything with their ownership of MGM's and Hannah-Barbara's cartoon proprties? I've had enough of Scooby Doo. Where are the new Droopy and Screwey Squirrel cartoons? Tex Avery's madcap and zany style needs to return.

And no more dumbing down Tom & Jerry. I need my violent slapstick comedy, damn it!

It would appear that Disney has some NEW Mickey Mouse shorts in production:

http://d23.disney.go.com/news/2013/03/mickey-mouse-to-star-in-new-cartoon-shorts-with-classic-comedy-contemporary-flair/

and you can watch a few of them here:
http://chrisbattleart.tumblr.com/post/45208138801/cool-new-mickey-mouse-short-from-all-my-old

So these are made by former Cartoon Network people. Good to know. Warner Bros. needs to step their game up if they want to compete with Disney and DreamWorks.

Somehow Ultron is happening before the Antman movie....

Maybe the original rumor of Antman being a flashback movie is right, maybe Antman debut is actually during The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron

I've only read so much on Ultron, and I saw all of EMH with it's Ultron Arc, and there is rumor that Vin Diesel is signed on and he is standing infront of "Giant Man" as some sort of clue. Could he be Antman? Ultron? Vision?
who knows. But Marvel is on a roll right now, so I'm blindly on board till they severely disappoint.

I still don't know hardly a thing about this franchise, but this has to be the most un-easy release Marvel has coming up. It's definitely out there with the character selection, so I see this as Marvel's hardest sell. Hope the first trailer is AMAZING....

If you folks like the more serious Batman animated shows, keep an eye on Beware the Batman. It's 2 episodes in right now and it's more than a little rough, but the 1st 2 episodes at least are showing some real promise. So far, it's a far better show than its own trailers made it look.

Having just watched X-Men First Class, I think I have finally hit burnt out on Super Hero movies. It didn't help it was yet another origin story and again never resolves anything. I don't mind the animated ones since they get to the meat and is less mainstreamed.

Pacific Rim is on my list. It's something different. I mean how long has it been since there has been a Kaiju movie in theaters.

Crosstawk Comics has an episode about The Guardians of the Galaxy to give you familiarity with the franchise.

For more on Ultron, the main Marvel U just went through an Ultron arc of the same name.
