Yeah, i've never really liked him. I thought he was OK in the animate Spider-Man show on FOX in the Secret Wars arc.

The problem with the Captain American film was that it didn't really go anywhere. It had a fun setup, but then was nothing but battle montages for the entire second half. It all felt pretty weak once Cap liberated that first base. It didn't help that the Red Skull was woefully underdeveloped, despite the maniacal joy that Hugo Weaving played him with.

Sadly, Cap was largely useless in the Avengers. He should be the moral center of the team, commanding leadership through respect. His powers pale in comparison to many of his teammates, and only appear worse off in the air-battles that ensued in the film. He ended up being about as useless as Black Widow and Hawkeye, despite being a much more important character.

Captain American, as a character, really excelled in the Civil War arc. The scaled down, guerrilla tactics allowed his super soldier powers to shine. Likewise, his attributes as an honorable and respectable leader came through when given the chance to fight against a truly evil and tyrannical force: the American government.

Loved First Avenger. It had that cheesy movie feel, sorta like Rocketeer (well it's the same director but even then tones are very similar).

Don't read Marvel, and reading reactions from recent Marvel events (Spock and villain Cyclops), don't feel like starting.

Cyclops should have always been a villain, instead of just a whiny prick.

I think Cyclops is a deeper character than most people give him credit for. In reality, he's really just switched roles with Wolverine, who got to be cool AND a vicious killer. Meanwhile, Cyclops HAS to be the bad guy. I haven't caught up fully (just finished AvX: Consequences last night), but I empathize with Cyclops. He'd been hunted by people wanting to kill him since he was 16, trained to be a leader, united all of mutant kind and protected them from the brink of extinction, and what does he get for it? Thrown in jail, and hated by the world even more. He sees Wolverine becoming the strong willed, moral center for mutant kind and then decides to play the opposite role: to do what it takes to protect mutant kind. Seemingly not unlike what Wolverine did with X-Force (though that was partially under Cyclops' orders).

I was kinda hoping they'd start a new Bat-series with a new Batman. I'd really like to see some Batman movies with the detective part played up. Honestly, the Bale-bate works for me since I can his Batman putting the cowl back on to investigate this "Superman" fellow and initiating the contact between the two.

Watched some of the Hangover 3 trailer...looked pretty bad. The second one was pretty terrible, and I don't even think the first one was that funny...but that's just me.

I liked Hangover 1. My problem with the sequel was that it was too copy/paste. If they can do an original(-ish) story, then it could be good. Though, being in vegas again kinda makes me think it won't.

Star Trek is looking badass. I hope they keep this series rolling.

After Earth has me feeling indifferent. Love Big Willy Style all in it, I think his son can be OK, but those accents are questionable. I like that they assume that in 1000 years people will at least not sound like the Fresh Prince, so I can tolerate it. The plot, on the other hand. . .
