Question about Wii eShop games on Wii U
« on: May 03, 2019, 07:13:46 PM »
When you buy a Wii game on the eShop, it downloads to the Wii U memory. But does it also save there, or does it save to the Wii Mode memory like a disc-based Wii game would? I'm asking because I want to be able to move my save games to the SD card so I can continue a Skyward Sword game on a Wii after starting it on my Wii U with the eShop version.

It saves to the same place regular Wii stuff saves to I believe. I know I can continue a playthrough of Xenoblade that started with a disc copy.

That should work just fine. I don't think there was ever a re-release of Skyward Sword.
