Ok then, I'll take spot 55. Hopefully a week will be long enough a sign-up period.

So how do we decide who is going to host? I'd like someone to do the dinosaur game, but if not I could have the game I suggested ready by next monday. Whatever the case, I just want some mafia action to go down.

I could make a game that would just be Khush's game with different characters and stories. The set up would be the exact same (just to make it easy on myself) and I would reuse though rename the townie abilities. My game would be just generic characters though, nothing like overwhelmingly special, but I could make up for that with some descriptive storytelling.

Dear 'Insidious',

Your movie watches like the greatest hits of Asian Horror but without the pacing, tension, and overall directorial prowess. You squandered your main premise by making what could have been a completely awesome freaky scene into a dull house of horrors. Your characters, including your scary ones, were either bland or outright goofy, and your climax played out more like a sci-fi channel original instead of a big hollywood movie. At least you ended it decently (though who didn't see that coming).

Never watching you again,
Stogi

I disagree with you, but that was great.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Wii U
« on: October 13, 2011, 06:53:33 PM »
Here's the thing I see; Nintendo is doing everything they can to attract 3rd parties, what it's going to come down to is if Nintendo gamers respond to 3rd party efforts. If they can't get a multi-platform game to sell well on the WiiU why would then should they try to sell an exclusive on it?

dang i should have read the rules harder, i didnt know the vote cast damage rather than just eliminated somebody, thats interesting. I was just playing by regular rules, its too bad about Ceric getting double teamed by the mafia and marx, thats just the worst luck.

I investigated Ceric on the first day, so not only was he killed by the hit, and marx, he was also hit by the mafia's abilities; he was dead regardless.

Arena: 7.5/10

Low budget movie that somehow got Samuel L. Jackson to play the villain. SLJ is a guy who sets up these 'barbaric' arena battles and broadcasts them online, while hiding from the world's governments who want to shut him down. The protagonist becomes his best and most unruly fighter and things go from there. I liked it, kind of cheesy, some plot holes, but it was way more than I expected it to be.

I liked American Horror Story as well. It should be good the way everything is connected and mysterious and individualized.

I had a lot of fun playing this game. I did make a lot of mistakes but they actually worked out in my favor, so screw it. Great game Khush and Maxi!

I fell asleep early again, but it seems obvious that it's sixthangel now. I'm thinking halbred would've taken me out first since I was first to vote for him, but theperm was first to vote sixthangel, and I think it cost him.

vote sixthangel

61
What the hell, guys? I've voting for SixthAngel for throwing my buddy, ThePerm, under a bus.

MAH ABILITAH IS STONAH

Big rocks.

Just fyi, that's not a valid vote, you have  to bold it. And I'm willing to unvote you, but you and sixthangel are equally suspicious in my mind, with you being the front runner, so I would need a reason

62
Can I get a reason to join you guys besides theperm's personal vendetta? We're losing townie too fast to be voting haphazardly.

Drive is a really slow paced monotone movie with very short burst of action. Ryan Goselin probably only had about 20-30 lines in the whole movie and there are lots of almost awkward silence scenes. Overall it was interesting, but not a theater movie for me.

I watched the first 30mins of this and then stopped. Too much silence, but the story was interesting just took way too long to get there, and did so very quietly

I think we can establish that Halbred knows more about Dino's than anyone writing for Terra Nova...

Fixed!

But personally, it's fiction and it's an alternate time stream so...

65
Yeah sorry, went out drinking last night then fell asleep with my phone in my hand, trying to unbold my vote for theperm.

vote halbred because at this point, I don't know what to do anymore.

66
I'm truly sorry to hear that sundoulos.

Perm, I'm starting to think that the mafia is just sitting back and watching us kill each other. That leads me back to isanolord so I hope you'll join me and:

vote insanolord

I was under the impression that the science guy put in the request for his team before leaving, but then again, I don't know how long they've been there. There have been 10 pilgrimages, and they have been in Terra Nova for 10 years, so that's 1 a year if that's the logic. If they only do one a year, and the doctor put in his request before leaving, it would make sense that her departure was delayed due to other getting in first.

As for the unknown species, that could be chalked up to one of two things; 1. their bones didn't survive the eons that passed between them and humanity or 2. they only exist in the separate time stream.

With the beacon and sending people through, they could very well just be guessing. The future is overcrowed and polluted, so if they can send thousands of people of away with a premise of a better future, so be it, even if in reality it means their deaths.

As for the doctor knowing about the jail time, again, that happened over the course of years. I forget now how long they said he was in jail, but it was a few years.

They have some means of steady communication, and judging by the distances they can communicate over, I would say that it is a satellite.

With the family, no they did not arrive 180 apart, rather during the first transfer they didn't realize there would be any delay, or they weren't using enough power, but then that would beg the question why change procedure if they didn't know anything was wrong?

What bothers me is that one of those bird things flew into the weather balloon. I don't think they fly satellite high, but they definitely fly higher than birds.

id hold off your vote till we have info sorted out, i am a townie, mary jane is equally suspicious. Sundoulos is ver suspicious.

i only voted out Dasmos because someone told me I shouldn't vote out Sixth Angel. I also didn't expect the major bandwagon to follow last minute, the truth is I had one vote against me and I didn't want to be out of the game before i unveiled my big plan

Mary Jane didn't respond to my PM asking what powers he has, very simple question, but heres my plan. There were only so many powers left.

Beam, Hammer, Laser, Magic, Fire, X-Ray, Mike, Crash, Sleep, Stone.

A good idea would be to publicly say how many hit points we have, who we've attacked, and what power we have. The thing about Dark Matter is, dark matter going to have to lie. That means dark matter has 5 out of 9 chance of guessing a duplicate power, I've been told one other person's power so he has a 2 out of 9 chance of guessing one of those two powers. There there are about 3 powers that id imagine would only have been issued if the game had more players, theres about 3 of those as well. This is one of those cases where the more we have out in the open the better.

so everyone list your powers, hp, and who you've attacked, with sundoulos listing his powers last because sundoulos told me his powers before. Also, sixthangel needs to post in the thread to defend his being absent, he pm'd me, but he needs to say hey im here. Its really weird. Not to mention he should list his powers like everyone else.

Just reread this to see if maybe I could be convinced, but there are two things wrong with your logic:

1. Sundoulos could easily be playing you since you don't know everyone's power.

2. The townie with x-ray is still alive, and Dark Matter has the same ability, so how would we deduce who is telling the truth, especially since anyone x-rayed at this point would show up as a townie?

Because of all your explanations I want to believe you, but there was a rather obvious problem with your deductions yesterday, and today you mean to list out what powers left are most dangerous to you. Dark Matter would definitely want to know what powers are left to know who to hit first.

I haven't seen the 2nd episode of Terra Nova yet, but I think faithfulness to science went out in the very first episode.  There are SO many questions I have about how communication works back-and-forth with the Alternate Future, given that they've stated the wormhole/singularity/time machine/deus ex machina is a one-way trip. That said, this is a parallel universe and timeline, so who's to say these creatures couldn't have existed?  At this point, I'm treating that show like a new incarnation of Sliders given how random that show is.

The communication is one way as well, they've never said anything about sending information back to the future. At least not that I picked up on, because I have been looking for such an inconsistency since they first mentioned it.

71
I still don't see why we should trust you with that information, and you never pm'd me. So far, I've only communicated with bustin98, and nickmitch. You've just given me yet another reason to not trust you, but don't feel bad, I don't trust anybody :)

Homeland

It's a show about terrorists from the producers of 24. I thought the show was good and interesting, until I saw the "This season on Homeland" after the episode. The problem their facing now seems like it's going to be the issue for the whole season which will be lame because it's barely scratching the surface of what I thought/hoped the show was going to be about. This show is on Showtime, and there was a mini-series called Sleeper Cell that I hoped this show would emulate in some way, and while the first episode did whet my appetite, I thought this initial story would be a one or two episode arc.

73
I still think it's the perm. I'm probably next on the hit list for saying so, but:

vote the perm

Today I'm not changing my vote, it's either him or isanolord, but the perm just seems more likely to me. His analysis yesterday left us voting out another townie, good work on his part.

74
vote Dasmos

Sorry, thought rules said you had to put it in the original voting post, but that wouldn't be the first time I misread something.

75
Ok, I changed my vote to dasmos in the hopes of getting an item. If dasmos is really just an idle townie it makes no sense to vote him out, unless you're mafia. If he is a townie that would put my focus back on theperm. I believe it was bustin98 who said the mafia would be most involved because they have the most to lose and theperm is obviously deeply involved. If he's right about this vote I take back everything I said, but if not...
