Did Madworld even sell? I see its available on Amazon brand new for $7.29. That low of a price kinda suggests the game bombed in a bad way. If that's the case it may be unlikely there will be a sequel, and if there is a sequel it probably won't be a Wii exclusive (if it is even on the Wii at all).

Didn't Sega state that they were pleased with the sales?

Acording to VG Chartz it's sold 390k in North America and 620k worldwide.

MadWorld probably got a majority of its sales once the price dropped. It's been around $7 for over a year now, so it would seem they still produce copies of it.

That low of a price kinda suggests the game bombed in a bad way.

Anyway, since the game is only $7 I guess everyone who hasn't played it might as well get it, and those who already have it could grab additional copies as gifts to friends/family.

Oh yeah, I'd love to give an ultra-violent Wii game to my 7 year old sister for Christmas.

Madworld probably isn't much more violent than a typical Warner Bros. cartoon show.

Have you played it? Probably not, since you just said something like that. Look up gameplay video. It's extremely violent.

There's a difference between violence and gore. It has more gore than a un-censored Bugs Bunny cartoon, but the level of violence is probably comparable. Seeing how you're 16, and Warner began censoring Bugs Bunny in the late 80s - mid 90s, more than likely you haven't seen the real Bugs Bunny unless you bought the DVD sets.

It's called Youtube. Doesn't look that violent to me. And yes, gore pretty much equals violence to me.

You kids and your fancy smancy internet. Why, in my day, we had UHF and we liked it!

Gore is blood and guts. A quick slice of the knife isn't very violent, but it will get you lots of gore.

Meanwhile, Bugs and pals are cooking in ovens, getting hit with hammers, anvils, pianos, falling off cliffs, exploded by dynomite, shot in the face with a shotgun, gettin eaten by sharks and other exotic animals. Are you sure you were watching the right cartoons?

I remember cartoons like Tom and Jerry where the characters could get decapitated at times. Now, granted I don't think there was any blood or anything like that, but it was still decapitation... it seemed a bit too violent for something intended for children. It also gave the wrong impression too, because the characters always survived no matter what happened. So what happens when little Billy tries to decapitate his sister? You can be sure that won't have a happy ending.

As a kid I was never so stupid to assume that I could drop an anvil and someone and they would be fine like in a cartoon.  It was incredibly obvious to me that cartoon violence was absurd and silly and that's what made it funny.  Maybe I was just a smart kid.  I also never for a second believed that Big Bird or Kermit were real beings.  It was obvious that they were puppets or people in costumes and yet I see tons of little kids that run out and hug the guy in the Spongebob costume.

If I had kids I wouldn't let them play games with blood and gore.  It would be rather hypocritical for me to have a bug up my butt about any non-gorey videogame violence when damn near every game I played as a kid was violent in some way.  Whether your squashing Goombas in Mario or eating ghots in Pac-Man, that's violence.  In a game like Commando or Contra you are just killing hundreds of guys with each playthrough.  So for me blood and guts is the deciding factor.

As much as I love to say people are idiots, I think you're being too hard on the youth. I don't think a lot of kids believe what happens in cartoons is real or puppet characters are real, but they still hold substance. Believe you me, if I saw a TMNT as a kid, I would have ran up to him.

My son just started sort of gaming.  He liked watching me ride the horsie in WoW and tried to do things himself.  When I got my 3DS I picked up a Dora game for him so he could play my DS because I know he want to mimic me.  Which was fine for his first game Dora should be appropriate he's almost three.  Than he saw me playing Monkey Ball and he wanted to play with the monkeys that worked ok.  He caught me playing Street Fighter and now he wants to play that he even won a match on easy...  Though he's 3 should he be playing something like Street Fighter thats the question?  Is it any worse then watching She-Ra?

What sort of gamer are you?  You get your son a game that is so obviously shovelware when you know there are games like Mario that are not only kid friendly but are also really good games?  Come on!  You're supposed to know what's up.  Crappy licenced shovelware is for parents that don't know better.
