Now I know you meant that they would see parody/spoof scenes in other media and then recognize those scenes and characters once they see the original.

Gamestop is alegedly going to be accepting preorders for a Black and White Wii bundle with Wii Sports Resort as the pack in game on May 2nd.The bundle is suppose to come out May 9th. The bundle,if true, will cost $199.99.
Is May 9th the day that the Black Wii comes to America? We shall see what comes of this.

I like in You Only Move Twice when Homer tackles the Bond-lookalike and while Hank is thanking him for the good work, armed guards are just nonchalantly killing the guy behind Homer's back.

Though while a really funny episode I found it to be WAY too over-the-top as a Simpsons episode and sure enough the direction of the show quickly changed into something I didn't care for.  It's the first non-Halloween episode of season 8 and truly the start of a way wackier Simpsons show than the seven seasons preceeding it.

As for the most popular bond movie, I'm pretty sure that title belongs to Casino Royale.  In terms of cultural significance, however, Goldfinger is still unmatched.

Is Casino Royale is the most popular entirely because it's newer?  I have a feeling that if you did a public poll one of the Daniel Craig films would win because of younger people having no knowledge of the earlier films.  I agree that Goldfinger is unmatched.  Hell, it's the BEST Bond film.  The Sean Connery films are the essential Bond.  And any Bond pop culture reference is almost always from the Connery era.  If you showed a 15 year old Goldfinger he would recognize stuff like Oddjob and the "no, Mr. Bond I expect you to die" scenes, despite having never seen the original clips.

I was talking about box office numbers, although I didn't actually check them.  I just seem to remember CR being the winner...

Agreed, I was just presenting the raw numbers. However, I am not a big fan of using numbers adjusted for inflation (it does stuff like changing Gone with the Wind from $400.1 million to $1.537 billion).

Found the gamestop one a few days ago on Gonintendo.Last night the Walmart and Frys popped up on GN who they got from computerandvideogames.

French site LiveWii is reporting that confirmation of Red Steel 3 has surfaced in the latest issue of French Nintendo Magazine. LiveWii translated into English states:
 

Despite a slow start of the second game, the Red Steel series is going to be a trilogy. It is still unclear if  we can fully rely on the information, but it's credibility comes from the newest issue of French Nintendo magazine."

Filed under "Hot News" this confirmation comes with an important detail: the game is compatible with the Wii Vitality Sensor as told in an interview Jason Vandenberghe, Art Director of Red Steel 2 at Ubisoft Montreal.
 

I fully expect more on Red Steel 3 to be shown at E3 and you can bet that Eric and I will be there, waiting to give you the information. Perhaps Red Steel 3 will detect your heartbeat in order to simulate a fatigued character?

If you prefer that style of humour, yeah.  How one feels about season 8 is a good indication of what era of the Simpsons they prefer.  I would consider the best season to be season 5.

Season 8 is odd, it's like a bridge between the two eras. Some of the episodes were like classic Simpons episodes ("Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala(Annoyed Grunt)cious" and "A Milhouse Divided"), others were like the new gen of episodes ("Mountain of Madness" and "Burns, Baby Burns"). Season 9 is where they made the full switch. Season 9 is the first one to have a episode that I hate ("The Principal and the Pauper").

I don't know.  Do we even know how the vitality sensor really works?
 
I really wonder why Ubisoft is continuing to use the Red Steel name.  I think the weak Red Steel 2 sales demonstrate that the brand name is tainted by the first game.

1) We don't know that this is even confirmed
2) We don't have access to internal April sales #'s (sales could've picked up, the game has been having $10 off sales for the last 2 weeks)
3) Ubisoft really needs a new successful IP, and sequels mean success..... right?
