I think people just don't want to get their hopes up, considering that Zelda games have the tendency to get delayed. As for myself, I don't really anticipate games that far in advance, so I don't care so much what the date might be.

I'd be very surprised if they launch in Japan before the end of the year. Kind of negates the slight hardware boost Nintendo gave the DSi. Then again, if Nintendo really cared, they wouldn't have bothered with DSi in the first place knowing DS2 was so close.

Game Boy Color was a new system and was released about three years before the Game Boy Advance. That isn't as long as it could have gone given its popularity, but I guess Nintendo wanted a more capable handheld.

The GBA SP was about a year and a half into the GBA market life so it was around for also about a year and a half before the DS was released. The difference between it and the DSi is that the SP doesn't have any exclusive games for it like the DSi does with DSiWare. It's akin to the DS Lite, you didn't need an SP to play any games so you weren't missing out on anything if you didn't buy one.

Game Boy Micro was just a cheap way to manufacture Game Boy systems for people who didn't want to get a DS, that one is moe like the NES and SNES redesigns.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Nintendo launched a new handheld late this year. Though I think it would be only in Japan this year, and it would be sometime next year before it is released in other territories.

But the DSi is much more than a regular upgrade, because it adds features that break full compatibility with the original DS. For example, there are now DSi specific games that can't be done on the DS, and everything on DSware falls into that category as well.

The only problem I see with getting a Black Wii, is how do I transfer my stuff short of sending them both into Nintendo and can I sell an almost new White one at a reasonable price considering the Black Wii would be shitting all over it in value at a price of $199?
