You can download some new stone right now, take it to pewter city and get Latios or Latias.

Yeah, that was mentioned a couple of days ago. It's the Enigma Stone. You take it to the Pewter Museum to get the Soul Dew. You can then battle Latios (in HeartGold) or Latias (in SoulSilver). From what I have read, you need the National Dex before you can download it. This shouldn't be a issue for anyone here though.

I just did the event, turning the Enigma Stone into a Soul Dew and caught Latias. It was annoying of coarse, I had it down to about 1 HP and Paralyzed and it still took a bunch of balls to catch.

Nah, I am right now playing my copy of Platinum and watching TV. I took a break for the match. Like I said, I didn't try to put together a team that would be good against humans, you were really good.

Do you have a throwaway Pokemon handy? I would love to have a Pokemon with your ID number (for the Goldenrod Lottery).

All starter Pokemon I have are in their final form. I could breed one if you really need on, otherwise I will just bring something.

No problem. If you do need any of the starters, I have all of them (except the Mudkip family and Torchic family), and could breed any for you.
