I asked you to substantiate your opinion, that is all. You don't have to but you certainly won't look like one of those people who make premature assumptions and/or judgements on a game if you did.

I mean it is more awkard to press than A button, and you would have to coninuely hold the button at the EXACT speed you want it [I know you have to do the same with A button but it is a lot easier to reach, and it isnt uncomfortable as continuely holding R.

i agree, and im sure it will be A because it always works best

Yes, because if you don't like something, you're obviously an unfair nitpicker.

Obviously
I just have fun when I play video games, and Nintendo is quite apt at it.  I trust it'll be good, and I think the graphics are fine.  They're supposed to be cartoony, and by the way, I think Mario only had the denim details in the movie.  I never really play with Mario, though, so I may be mistaken.  Still, I think MKD looks fine, both graphically and funfully speaking.

Are people STILL having the  misconception that it's 2 people when it's in reality 2 characters?

I don't think 2 players in one car would be fun at all.

Actually, I would like the option of having two players play in one kart.  Sure it might not sound fun, but think about the teamwork strategies you could employ.

Isn't the purpose of Mario Kart to have fun though? Plus I really don't see much difference in strategy. More communication? Perhaps. But more strategy? Really nothing to be gained.

Having one person drive while the other shoots is more fun than you make it seem.  Have you ever played Gunstar Heroes?(Treasure's best game ever )  In space(with two players) one person steers the craft while the other shoots.  It was a LOT more fun than steering and shooting by yourself.  Of course, my opinion of fun may(or should I say, will) not agree with other gamers'.

I'm hoping Nintendo will include an option allowing you to either both drive the kart AND shoot the guns, or to split the duties between two players. At least it'll please everyone here.

You do drive and shoot the guns.  I'm not sure about the second part, but there is one player per kart.  Two characters, one player.

I'm extremely upset that they didn't add Toad to this new game.  I really hope that he's a hidden character or something because I loved playing as Toad in the past version and this one shouldn't be an exception.
Sometimes I sit still, I think about all that has happened and what's to come.  I'm afraid, yet excited.  Will the future bring me joy and happiness, love and laughter, or hate and sorrow, loneliness and dispair?  So far I have seen all these come and go and something tells me there's more yet to co

I agree that Toad should be in this game. He was my favorite battle character for MK64 although my best character was wario, Toad was the funest. There are only 16 announced characters and you can play with 8 players at once, 2 characters each. That would use all 16 characters. How fun would that be when you get stuck with two sorry characters. I would expect atleast around 25 characters. It cant be that hard to include that many characters since most of them would handle the same. Also in one of the pics it shows Daisy and PEach in one kart. When is this game coming out.....

I'm reminded of somebody earlier saying that Miyamotomo couldn't release any screenshots
because he didn't want to reveal his new element to the game, which is obviously
now the two character per kart thing....

so one character uses the items while the other drives
also supposedly you can switch between the two (or
at least that's what I've read).

so what's the point in switching?

do the characters handle the weapons or driving differently...

I think it'd be kinda cool to make this a strategic element
in the game, each handles a little differently and so the
character that's driving will have to be chosen based
on the type of track.

The point of switching characters is that each has their own unique set of weapons.(8 I believe per character)

It could be eight per character, but I have a feeling that there are eight items that are distributed between the characters (for example, koopa troopa and bowser might have turtle shells, whilst diddy and donkey kong have bananas.  But it could be eight per character.

But yes, the weapons differ, as does (I imagine) the way they handle the kart.

I'm shocked nobody has mentioned it yet (and if somebody has, sorry for the repeat), but CNN Headline News has been running actual footage of MK: DD!!  It will be shown again around 11:45 EST (about 10 minutes from now), so if you're quick you can catch it.

Oh ya I got it, 720x480. A mere 87MB in mpg2 format. The full 2 minute piece. Now if I just had a place to store that on and to share for people or a way to compress it. Or if someone wants to compress it for me. I am on cable so transfer wouldn't take long on my part. Its a little choppy but still good.
