Well, there are no pics of the new Zelda, so obviously Nintendo had to use that pic. If we saw a shadowed WW Link, that would have all but confirmed that the next Zelda game is cel-shaded, since we all know what he looks like by now. By using realistic Link, Nintendo can continue that speculation of adult Link as the one used for the new Zelda, or just Link as a character in (what else?) but a new SSB game.
But I say we can just keep speculating. The answers will come soon.

Is Nintendo Power a weekly mag?

Another Zelda announcement after the Wind Waker just came out in America sounds drastic...it's probably the new GBA Zelda.

IF it is a new Zelda game (for whichever system), then I want to see the Rings in it (like in the Oracle titles) and maybe a new weapon.. and more magic spells

i think that nintendo did say a while ago that capcom is on work with another gameboy zelda developed specifically for the gba
i dont know how true that is but i remember hearing about it

Nintendo has confirmed a new Zelda game for GBA several times. In fact, it is confirmed again in the June issue of EGM in an interview with Miyamoto from the D.I.C.E. Summit a while back. Here's what he said:

"[Capcom] actually went into planning on this right after finishing [Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages for Game Boy Color]. It will probably be something close to the graphics of Four Swords and will use the same style of camera we've had throughout the Zelda series. I think we'll be able to launch it within about a year or so."

As far as what the silhouette of Soul Calibur II Link from Nintendo Power is, I have no idea. It's obviously not referring to SCII, since they've already put pics of that in the magazine. It could be a new GC Zelda game, a spinoff, a new SSB game, or maybe something else entirely (or perhaps none of the above, and they're just messing with our heads by putting that silhouetted Link in there to begin with ).

The bottom line is that we don't know and may have to wait until E3 to find out. It's only two weeks away now, though!

To be perfectly honest... IMO no... I would certainly disapprove of that happening. Cameo? Perhaps. Playable character? Nope.

The info suposedly came from an NOA mod on zeld.com forums.

And I don't think he lied. There was an improvement on Thursday, but the Monday news is still iffy.

Nintendo wouldn't hype us about Sega's line up, that's ludacris (specially when the other systems got good games too).

Either NOA mod choked or.... Nintendo delayed their plans....it's all good though. I can wait till E3.

Well. Saw the supposed Capcom GC lineup posted over at newtechnix yesterday. link

Hopefully Dead Phoenix isn't cancelled even though it isn't on the list. Note of interest is the seemingly out of the blue title "Gacha Force", noted as a GC exclusive. The post also mention which games will be playable and which will only have a video representation. Hm. I just mention this all to pass the time. Hope no one minds.

Anyone got any idea what the heck this supposed Gacha Force could be?

the announcement has to do with Nintendo's E3 site

Thursday or Friday, they added Final Fantasy and some other games
Monday, they added Billy Hatcher and Advance Wars 2
