It was great having Jonny and Xander on this week

After hearing my email, I wanted to back and check exactly how far I did actually get in the two times I played it on Wii. I loaded it up and it seems like in my original play through, I got up to some point in Lake Floria, but not as far as the Ancient Cistern. That is more than I thought when writing the email.
The second time, I got up to some point in the Lanayru Sand Sea, but I dont think I got up to the Sand Ship.

2 During the Direct in February, Goldeneye will be shadow dropped on Switch and Xbox.

This released sooner than I expected.

In the February Direct that was just announced, I think they will probably announce a date for Advance Wars 1+2
They will probably announce a game we havent seen before.

It was good to hear Greg talk about Melatonin and that he liked it. I loved it.

Another Rhythm Heaven clone, Bits & Bops just finished its very successful Kickstarter campaign that I also backed. Unlike Melatonin, it also copies the art style of Rhythm Heaven. It seems good from the demo on Steam.

What if we went back to the NES era where publishers could only release 5 games or whatever

Predictions? Ok

1 To build off the hype of the successful release of the Mario Movie, Nintendo will announce a new Mario game to be released by the end of the year.

2 During the Direct in February, Goldeneye will be shadow dropped on Switch and Xbox.

3 At E3 the first DLC will be shown for Splatoon 3. It will be part of the online expansion pack

4 Metroid Prime 4 will not be released in 2023

5 Nintendo will announce the Wii Shopping Channel is completely shutting down. It will be no longer possible to redownload purchased software.

6 There will be no Switch Pro or Switch successor released in 2023

Thats all I can think of for now

Finished the episode. I had been looking forward to this since finishing the game. It was very good, very entertaining, especially the discussion of the babies.

Xenoblade 3 is definitely my favourite in the series.

Back when 2 came out, I decided not to play it because I never finished 1 on 3DS or X because of late game difficulty. Then 1 DE came out with the easy mode and that really made me love the game. So yes, I played 3 on easy and I still loved it. I plan to start playing 2 very soon and I will be using whatever easy mode it had.

Also, the girl with the gall is my favourite.

I loved this game. It almost perfectly captures the feel of Rhythm Heaven. I do have an issue with it though. I don't think the sound design is as good as Rhythm Heaven. There are a few levels I struggled to do well because the sound cues aren't distinct enough.
The Office level was one of those. I ended up turning the music volume down a bit in the settings to make the cues more noticeable.
The Money level was ok until the thunder where it switches sides, Im really bad at that bit.
The level with the ladders, Stress? All the cues sound almost the same. I don't know how you would do it without completely relying on the visuals.

My favourite level is probably the one with the crane, I don't remember what it is called.

I also like how there is a harder version of each level.

Like Rhythm Heaven, Im not good enough at it to get Perfect on any of the levels, but I will at least try to get three stars on as many as I can.

Ok, just finished it. Im glad the game is short. I dont think I would have wanted to play it for much longer. I finished it in four sessions.

Overall the game is pretty good. I kind of wish I had bought it back when it was new. The art is so nice and as mentioned before, the music is great

It took a while to get used to the controls, but it works well enough after you get the feel of it. Its interesting how they reverse it by making kirby float in water. It has been a very long time since I played Canvas Curse, I think part of the reason I didnt like it was being such a small screen on DS, it was hard to control. The big screen of the Gamepad makes it much easier to draw lines.

As for the gamepad, I think this is the most I have ever played a Wii U game off TV. Its weird having the TV on, but not looking at it to play the game.

As for a kirby game, its a but weird to not have the copy abilities, but I did mostly enjoy the transformations, especially the submarine. The rocket level in stege 6 with the time limit was awful. It took me so many tries. I almost chose the skip level option.

I think by far the weakest part of the game is the bosses. They are repeated and the final boss is really annoying. It took me many attempts. I scanned my Dedede amiibo to get more health, but I still died, then I discover that the extra health only counts for one life. Thankfully on the next attempt, I was able to beat it with one hit point left. I think I was also down to 0 lives.

Seeing Iwata in the credits was nice. I guess this must have been one of his last games.

Im glad this was chosen for retroactive, I would have never played it otherwise.

Speaking of button layouts, I have been replaying No More Heroes 3, but the port on Xbox. There is a boss which is basically a series of quick time events. Im usually pretty good with swapping between Nintendo and Xbox, but doing it under pressure like that was a challenge.

I started the game yesterday in my almost 8 hours long Wii U anniversary stream. The first hour is playing Kirby.

Im really liking it so far. I never bought it originally because I didnt like Canvas Curse the one time I played it a long time ago.

This was a great episode. Really good discussion about all the games.

I was one of the few who suggested Affordable Space Adventures. I disagree that it needs to be played multiplayer. I played it solo in 2017 and thought it was great.

As for Kirby, I will buy it and play it. I tried playing it once on someone else's system, but wasnt really into it. But Im willing to give it another try.
