Battle & Get! Pokémon Typing DS will ship with a Bluetooth keyboard.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/24974

Nintendo has confirmed an upcoming Nintendo DS game called Battle & Get! Pokémon Typing DS. Originally announced last September at Nintendo Conference, the game is designed to appeal to Pokémon fans of all ages who would like to improve their typing.

The game card has a Bluetooth receiver built in, and the game will come packaged with a Bluetooth Keyboard. Battle & Get! Pokémon Typing DS has been designed to be challenging even for adults who are very proficient at typing.

Although Nintendo doesn't make any promises with the device, one can assume that the Bluetooth keyboard can be used with any other Bluetooth capable device, such as a computer or mobile phone, and Nintendo employees have been using it with iPhone and Android devices.

The game is set to launch in Japan this April, at a price to be determined.

Or a Mario Teaches Typing. That would be cool too.

Hopefully the keyboard works with Wii too, but I think this game was actually announced middle of last year. I think this is just the first time we get to see anything about it.

It was actually announced at the September "TGS can suck an egg" conference.

Since it's Pokemon, it's pretty much guaranteed to be localized, though I can't see why...

Although I'd want the Nintendo keyboard, I'm left wondering if there will be an option for buying the game alone and using one's own Bluetooth keyboard with it.
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.

Supposedly this keyboard can be used with other devices just look at this quote from Siliconera:

Quote from: Siliconera
The primary focus of the game is meant to teach children to type quickly without having to look down at the keyboard. However, while Nintendo don’t guarantee functionality, the keyboard that comes with the game can also be used with other Bluetooth devices. Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, says that many within the company are using it with their iPhone and Android phones, and so is he.

I have a feeling as long as the device supports a HID bluetooth profile (typically devices with Human Interface Device profile includes mice, keyboards, controllers such as a PS3 controller and Wii remote) you can use this keyboard with that.

Nope I must of ignored that ^-^ But I see this thing ending up with Wii and/or 3DS support considering the suspicious looking home button on it.

I agree with the point on the Home button, unless they are just forward looking with some 3DS compatibility too.

If this works with computers, I may just get it for the keyboard.

It should as long as your computer has a Bluetooth transceiver.
Incidentally, I just got a Headbanger Headset, and while it's USB rather than Bluetooth, it does work on regular PCs.
