The last bit of online play testing brought up a bit of problems with the servers. I was not told exactly what but it is serious enough to delay the release of the game until it is sorted out. After they get it fixed for Japan you are going to have a delay while the changes and whatnot are translated and implemented for the US software.

That seems like a believable reason for the delay. Since day one Nintendo has said that they have been having trouble getting the online matches to work properly and when online was announced Sakurai said to expect lag. So it isn't all that surprising that the delay is because of online issues.

Well I can deal with that, it is critical to have this game working perfectly online from the starting gate because Nintendo has a ton of catching up to do in the online market, and the only game that will put them on the board is SSBB. Like I said in the daily update thread, as long as I find out the whole roster when this game launches in Japan (or earlier) I'll be very happy. I can deal with waiting to actually play the game, I have plenty in the back catalog to complete. What I can barely deal with is waiting to find out the final roster. I'm dying to see who made the cut from Melee and who we haven't heard about yet in the way of new characters. Just 16 more days (hopefully at the most) until we know all there is to know!

Ditto, all I care for is for the final roster to be revealed, as well as how many stages, trophies, stickers, songs and options will be in the final version since it looks like A LOT of stuff is crammed onto the game but I want to know for sure how hard the pushed this new version of SSB.

Yeah, I'd like to play SSBB sooner than later, but I'd rather they iron out the issues first.

It appears they just hadn't updated the advertising page because the product page says the March date
