I don't know if this was mentioned and probably doesn't really have anything to do with "Thursdayton" but whatever that Nintendo Now thing was, this picture shows that screen too http://www.nintendo.com/e3_2005/slides_matt.html and go to picture 8

It looks like it was more of a Nintendo staff thing or the NP staff thing..

And look at 28 also, that's pretty cool

Something did happen today...Behind "closed doors"...

IGN GameCube has a "Revolution Hands-On" article up now...

Quote

Following an interview with the company's vice president of corporate affairs, Perrin Kaplan, we were ushered into a small room located in the closed-off upstairs section of its E3 booth. Hidden away in a room guarded by two muscle-bound security guards - we kid you not - were multiple powered-on demo units of Revolution, which Nintendo allowed us to touch, and yes, even caress. Based on our hands-on encounter with the machine, we can safely say that Revolution looks every bit as sleek and modern up-close as it does in photos.

Oh, the red Revolution is sexy... Black, Red and Grey would be my votes of colors to release for the system, as each of those look really good IMO.

I wish IGN could have gotten pics of the rear of the unit, I'm real big into audio/video stuff.

BTW, anyone want to bet why IGN got this exclusive.

No one commented on this pic so I wanted to bring it up once more.

it looks like someone is trying to grab holographic fish. Not sure what this is related to, but it is hosted on Nintendo.com.

It appears that the image of the "NESolution" that you linked to has exceeded its bandwidth. Is there anyother link becuase I would like to see it.

Do you know what link leads to this image or what relation it has wth something else on their site?  Looks like one of those displays that projects onto a floor and also senses movement, allowing you to interact with what is being projected.  For instance, in that picture they may be able to move or scare the fish into moving with their hands.  This tech. is usually used for interactive advertisment I believe.

Edit:  oops forgot to quote.  this is for BlackNMild2k1's post 2 above

IGN purchased Nintendo earlier today and Matt Casamassina is Ninty's new President. His first order of business was to introduce Nintendo's new mascot "Aries" (the ram, not the Revolution prophet) and his sidekick "Fran Goat"

Am I close?

Even if no PSone game ever came as close to SM64 in use of the analog stick, the mere presence of the Dual Shock controller effectively negated what was one of the few N64 selling points left. The N64 did worse because the PSX had analog sticks...and TWO of them!

It's the same thing as DVD playback. Technically, Nintendo "stole it" from Sony and MS to remove a unique selling point from them.

And if you're faulting Nintendo for not putting out a key product while they had such innovation exclusively, that's even more reason for Nintendo to hold back. They realized that the exclusivity of their innovations will run out very quickly, and they might as well NOT give the competition a head start.

Guys need to wach Reggie's Gamespot interview

Gamespot E3Live link
It's about halfway down the 2nd column.

After the guy who likes burnout, Regginator answer's the gamespot guy's questions, his Tmobile sidekick's questions, and questions from random poeple who happend to be close by near the end of the interview.
This pritty much says there isn't going to be anything new untill Sony releases their console and controller specs as FACT, not just a picture or prototype.
Without data, you're just another schmuck with an opinion.

THURSDAYTON!!!!!!!!!!

Slot drive in Revolution doesn't work!!!!! OMFG!!!!
Quote

Joystiq and Engadget got our grubby fingers on the Nintendo Revolution box (yes, the one behind the locked door in the secret room guarded by a beefy muscleman). We picked it up, we played with the buttons, we poked, we prodded, and we slipped a CD into it. Oops! We weren’t supposed to do that. Guess what happened?

The CD just fell into the box. No mechanism grabbed the edge of the CD and pulled it in slowly, even though the box was plugged in. The CD just slid in cleanly and quickly except for brief resistance at the entrance. There wasn’t any scraping or messy sound to it, so the CD didn’t collide with any internal mechanism that one might expect it to collide with were such mechanisms present. To get the CD out, we just tipped the box over and it slid right back out. Really, it was as if the CD had been dropped into a small, rectangular box with smooth sides.

All that glowing slot does is just glow.

The display prototype of Revolution doesn't actually work.  "Nintendo, YOU BASTARDS" [/southpark]

And on top of that, they probably think that all the Sony and MS prototypes work too.
