The ability to destroy a planet of demons is insignificant next to the power of Sanic.

Black Friday deals and Call of Duty were the big winners last month in the United States, but the Switch fared pretty well for itself.

On the hardware front, Switch numbers were not available as the report from the NPD Group indicated the PlayStation 4 sold the most units while the Xbox One (buoyed by the reintroduction of a $499 price point with the Xbox One X) had the highest level of consumer spending. Nintendo did confirm earlier this week that the Switch had reached the 10 million worldwide sales milestone.

Software was utterly dominated by Call of Duty: WWII which had the biggest opening for that franchise since 2012's Black Ops II. In the combined charts Super Mario Odyssey was 6th place for the month, FIFA 18 7th, Breath of the Wild 15th and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 16th. Nintendo's biggest release for the month, Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, was 10th and 11th in the revenue based chart.

Mario Maker 3DS made more money than the new Mario Party collection?  That's saying something.

Nice to see half the top 10 being third parties.
