They'd never do it, but it would seem that Spider-Girl would be the best bet for a "stand-alone" movie.

After that GotG opening, I think WB/DC decided to BOW DOWN!!!
https://mobile.twitter.com/TheInSneider/status/497111948291346432
Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice moves to March 25, 2016.

Captain America now stands alone on May 6th, 2016
"On your le..... hey, where did you go!?"

Marvel flexes & DC flinches.

cool. Do I get a 10% finders fee for bringing you the news?

I should also mention that WB/DC plotted out their scheduling around Marvel's dates (they don't want no conflict ;) )

If anything positive comes from all these dates, I hope it's that it chokes F4 into losses so that Fox will "Let_it_Go.mp3" back to Disney/Marvel.

But it looks like Justice League is not coming till 2018. and where Marvel plans Summer Blockbusters, DC is planning Holiday Event movies by launching JL in November banking on Xmas-New Years legs.

edit: who cares to be the first to fill in the blanks? ie. THE WHOLE FREAKING LIST!!! LOL :P:
here is a quote of some movies to fill it in with
Quote
The DC movies that are expected to fill this ambitious pipeline include Zack Snyder‘s “Justice League,” standalone spinoffs for Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa's Aquaman, as well as a “Shazam/Black Adam” movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and a “Sandman” movie that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is producing and may star in.

It makes me wonder why there isnt a Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo Cinematic Universe.

Iron Man proved Metroid (the Prime trilogy) would work as a movie series.

Nintendo is still stuck in the 90's.
They are just now thinking about diversifying their portfolio as Wu-Tang Financial so eloquently explained we all need to do back late 2000's.

Imagine a high budget TLoZ trilogy based in high fantasy like LotR/Hobbit
Or a thriller/adventure/horror in a Metroid movie the vein of Alien meets Ironman meets The Descent.

I bet the games would sell alot better as they would have expanded the awareness far outside of the small gaming audience it draws now.

Microsoft has like, three franchises that would have any traction, two are shooters and one's a sad imitation of a fantasy RPG. Crossover possibilities: Minute to nil.

Sony's doing some animated stuff that could potentially cross over, but the ones everyone wants are already movies with QTEs or have tropes everyone's sick of (zombies).

Nintendo: Please understand.

Nintendo has a universe, if you look at it hard enough. You've got F-Zero, which is in space, and one of the drivers is named James McCloud. And what if Captain Falcon and Captain Olimar are both captains in the same service? Mario traveled through galaxies, so he could've run into them somewhere along that line. Boom, universe.

F-Zero could be Speed Racer meets Fast & The Furious with a dash of Death Race.

Pikmin could be partially Star Trek but mostly Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

Fire Emblem could be Game of Thrones.

Super Mario Bros. could be Bill & Ted meets Guardians of the Galaxy in Alice in Wonderland/Journey to the Center of the Earth

Super Smash Bros would be bringing them all together, but it would turn out to be The Lego Movie.

Had anyone seen TMNT yet?

I hear it's terrible as a movie, but much fun for kids.
Well anyway, the sequel has been announced.

So like the transformers films.

Man 2016 will be a repeat of this year, seems like Warner is pulling a smart move with BVS dated similar to Winter Soldier.

I'll try and check out TMNT later this week.

i was  totally going to the movies this weekend but a mix up with a certain website took all my money and I can't get it back till Monday the earliest. Maybe next weekend. I was thinking of seeing TMNT or Transformers but I am so burned out on super hero movies I can't get excited for Guardians of the Galaxy or whatever it is called.

Guardians is more Space Opera than Superhero.

TMNT is probably just as "superhero" as GotG if not more... but I haven't seen it, so I can't confirm that.

I guess I used superhero too loosly I am just tired of all those movies where there is so much **** going on you can't figure out what the hell is going on. I just watched Iron Man 3 last night, I put it off even though I had it on Blu Ray for over six months because of that I am burned out on all big budget over the top action flicks. TMNT comes off as more of a kids movie but I guess it might not be much better. I know nothing about Guardians of the Galaxy anyways.

Robert Kepner's Clock King is going to be in the seventh episoide of The Flash to lead into the crossover.

I'm hoping we see this in the new season of Arrow.

A sneak peak at Justice League: Throne of Atlantis

The comic storyline is one of my favorites. I hope they keep the part where the league gets beaten and cyborg has to call in the reverses and save them.

wasn't that official weeks ago? (I swear I posted this hours ago from my phone....)

But, AQUAMAN solo film is being fast tracked aggressively by WB/DC
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/aquaman-movie-hooks-two-writers-724966

2 writers, 2 scripts, 1 movie.
Let's hope it's good. I can only assume the process is that they have a general outline with story beats and characters, then the writers go to town and connect the dots and fill in the blanks, correct?

Quote
Will Beall, who wrote 'Gangster Squad,' and Kurt Johnstad, who wrote '300: Rise of an Empire,' are tackling two separate scripts for Warner Bros.

The scribes are writing — separately — scripts for Aquaman, one of the installments in Warner Bros.’ multimovie scheme to create a cinematic universe based on the DC Entertainment characters.
Aquaman is being developed on dual tracks, where studios and producers hire two separate writers to work on the same project in the hopes of getting the best version. The practice allows for release dates to be set while a project is still in development while giving it a muscular push. Warners needs just that as last week it dated nine untitled DC movies between 2016 and 2020.
Warners is not revealing which one of those will be Aquaman, but the first untitled DC movie is due for release on Aug. 5, 2016, with two more due in 2017, on June 23 and Nov. 17, respectively

so it's entirely possible that after they get the 2 scripts, they could ultimately blend the best of both into one script and we actually get a pretty good movie right?

I think it would be funny if he accidentally destroyed the set of the Entourage Aquaman movie and guest appearance by James Cameron (& the Entourage crew) in the process.

I was wondering hwo they planned to do scripts as well, especially since what ever script is chosen will have to be chnaged to reflect the post Justice League status quo.
