Jon M. Chu is Directing a Jem and the Holograms Film!

A Jem and the Holograms feature film is on the way from director Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never) and producers Jason Blum and Scooter Braun! The trio made the announcement themselves with the below video, posted just moments ago, in which they reveal their unique (some might say "truly outrageous") approach to the property, asking for creative fan submissions that will wind up a part of their big screen release.

How did I miss this?  Also

This movie must have come up when he was thinking what would happen if I blended these two movies together.

Also does that mean I might get a MASK movie?

I agree. That trailer was much better than the last one.
that poster didn't turn out as good as someone had probably envisioned in their head.
Just like the majority of the First Class posters too.

I don't get the hate the first Fantastic Four movie gets, it was a great movie, the sequel was a disaster though maybe it's just guilty by association? I hate how they are rebooting things too fast to keep up anymore.

I didn't hate the first movie, as I think Human Torch and the Thing were well cast and worked well together, but everything else was pretty forgettable.

The hate for Fox rebooting and trying to continue the franchise is that we want Marvel to have the rights back, mostly for Dr. Doom, and all their cosmic enemies (Galactus, Silver Surfer, Super Skrull & Annihilus), not so  much the Fantastic Four team itself.

I am all for that but I don't get why there needs to be another movie, the first was a good movie adaptation i think some people want live action comic books instead of movies based on comic books.
Trying to be a better person, honest.

Well, in the hands of Fox, if the current cast and rumored script are anything to go by, there doesn't need to be another movie. The 1st F4 wasn't the worst thing in the world. it did a few things ok, but the second movie was not so hot. This new movie sounds worse than the 2nd one from what was rumored, and honestly, I don't care for another attempt in Fox's hands.

They can keep X-men and do as they please. expand the X-verse all they want for as long as they can, and there are so many characters and storylines to draw from that they could literally focus on just that and likely never run out of material (X-Men, X-Force, X-Factor, Deadpool, Multiple Man, Origins, Phoenix, Wolverine, etc etc etc). They don't need the F4 and them trying to force a universe involving them doesn't make sense when they can't even get their X-verse together properly.

Sounds like The Rock well be in the DC camp after all.
Possibly playing Black Adam

Johnson: [Laughs] Can’t say that, but here we go. Here are three qualities. The first quality we were looking for was that he had to be extremely complex and have a lot going on. What that does for me as an actor and the studio is it gives us space that we can explore; his complexities. The other quality was that he had to — the character we were looking for had to be well-known but never brought to life. Then what that does again as an actor, it gives me a little bit of space, and we talked about personality. It just gives me a chance to put an imprint into his personality, with the set of tools that I could bring to the table and put a very unique twist on his personality, but still pay homage to who he is. The third thing — and most important — is he had to be a badass motherfucker, okay, and on a Superman level of power, where could throw down. In those three qualities, I’m happy we’ve found that character. Right now, we’re out to a lot of writers.

Means it's most likely Black Adam, and sounds like it will be in his own movie too.

Not a bad trailer. Nice and subdued. It didn't try to force you, a welcome change to your normal trailers where they RAMP **** UP into the ground. This has to be better than first class and X3.

I see what they are trying to do with that poster. But yeah, that is just bad.

Read a spoiler for the new agents of shield and man I hope its true.

so were assuming that Armin Zola is the Clarvoint and that someone on the bus is feeding him information right. Even going by what we know of Zola, there was no way it could have known about Coulson being revived.

It also lends credance that Sword isn't shield related but most likely shield adjacent.

Kate Mara (Sue Storm) from the Fantastic Four reboot implies that she has not seen a script and doesn't know if they will even have costumes as she hasn't seen one or been fitted for one either....

Filming is supposed to start before April is over... it's possible all the rumors of a film in production hell is true. Let's hope Fox lets the rights lapse instead of forcing out a major turd just for the sake of holding on to the rights.

I believe they have till October to have this in full production, otherwise Marvel gets it back.

I'm sure Fiege has a plan B schedule scribbled down on a piece of paper to include some of the villians in Phase 3 or 4 movies. I wouldn't be surprised if he already has an outline (read as: rough script) for a Fantastic 4 movie as well locked in his personal vault.
