I called 3 Targets in my area and none of them would honor the online deal.

TalkBack / RE:Comcast to Merge Tech TV and G4 Networks
« on: March 25, 2004, 02:55:21 PM »
Well maybe now G4TV woun't have as many re-reuns of the same shows all week long.  You seriously only need to tune in 2 days a week to catch new episodes of anything, and then its rereuns all week long.

Never seen TechTV so that will definaltely add something to the channel.

General Gaming / A sample of things to come.......

This is from Microsoft, its their new midldeware develpment program called XNA,
from what I heard these demos are running in real time and on a chip(ATi R420?) that is going to be a generation b4 our next generation consoles.

But this should at least give you an idea of what to expect actual games (not just the cutscenes)to look like in-game

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Resident Evil 4 Discussion
« on: March 22, 2004, 01:47:28 PM »
The game does look alot more fast paced, escpecially with having to shoot objects out of the air while they are being hurled at your head.
Also the people still look a little zombie-ish, you saw the way that guy took those bullets and kept coming

Didn't read through rest of the post, but I don't think this was mentioned.
Nintendojo is soon to update with home video footage of Resident Evil 4, and for the time being(because of bandwidth issues) has a short .gif of the video in action.

According to CNN Money the Nintendo DS will use the second touch screen as a keypad for wireless instant messaging as well as a second gaming screen, they will also provide free wireless gaming.  It was also said to use a similar design to the GBA SP.

*crosses fingers* Here's hoping for a Secret of Mana game, good w/ 1, 2, or 3 people and who's stopping them from adding a 4th?

never played Sword of Mana<?> the playstation sequel, and it doesn't make sense to have a 3 to 4 player game on a console that only has 2 controller ports (no one owns a multi-tap).

TalkBack / RE:Splinter Cell is Everywhere
« on: March 16, 2004, 01:33:18 PM »
As far as online for GC, I remember reading a quote from someone at Ubisoft that said " If it were up to us we would include online, but there just hasn't been any support on Nintendo's end." (this quote was referring to Splinter Cell & Rainbow Six)

If I can find where I saw that I will be sure to post a link

DS: Come here PSP!

-PSP walks over to DS-

DS: Let me tell you a little joke.

PSP: What?

DS: What did the 5 fingers say to the face?

PSP: Huh...?

DS: ::SLAP!!!:: -as DS slaps PSP across the face-

Team Xbox

Quote

”It’s a cooperation agreement. The potential isn’t clear, but it’s in the billions of dollars. Microsoft has taken the hard disk out of its Xbox. The only thing left will be a CD; that’s all. At some point, when users want to save their e-mail messages, copy music, or anything like that, the only storage they’ll have is what we give them. It’s worth hundreds of millions to the company, spread over a few years, and we’ll be the main supplier for it; and I hope the sole supplier.

They took out the the HD but that doesn't mean there isn't going to be any internal storage.  M-Sysytems does make Flash memory and will most likey put some sort of solid-state memory inside the Xbox.

Quote

"What we're going to offer for the Xbox doesn't currently exist," Ronit Maor, Chief Financial Officer of the Israel-based unit said.

(Or they could simply be making Flash memory cards)

If you goto Infiniumlabs.com and click on beta testers, then try to log in, it will take you to beta.phantom.net which is the same exact thing as phanton.net .

This is a big f***'n joke.  The company site is flashy, but the product site is pathetic, and barely a half a**ed attempt.
