If you'd like something else to discuss, then how about the sloppy gameplay mechanics in the last trailer? It screamed "Modded Melee" to me. I'm praying that this new trailer will not just rehash Melee's game engine to show off new characters.

Also, why is Zero Suit Samus in the game? She's hardly original, and should have been an all new character altogether utilizing the same move-set. Having another Samus is along the same lines as Falco, Doctor Mario, and Pichu.

First person I have ever heard want to move toward more "clones" in the game. Having Zero Suit Samus be something that Samus can turn into is fine for me, depending on how they use it and considering no one knows that there isn't much to complain about at this stage.

The 'gameplay' in the first trailer does look pretty crappy, but I forgive it since it's such an early trailer and isn't actually gameplay footage.

But Zero Suit Samus is a perma transformation. Not a different character, but Samus: Special Edition that appears under certain circumstances.

If you don't like her, how would that be better? Being a seperate character would mean you could avoid it altogether, rather than it being part of Samus.

Wait, what? Now I'm utterly confused on what you are looking for in the character.

Regardless, it's the same character (ala Zelda and Sheik, although how they change is unknown), and I will quote from the Smash Bros site:

I appologize, I was under the assumption that the Zero Suit Samus was a seperate (playable, selectable) character altogether.

In any case, the time and effort to put Zero Suit Samus into the game is questionable. I don't know about you, but I like the mysteriousness of Samus staying inside of her suit. Especially when those non-gamers(and Sony fanboys) say in shock, "Samus is a GIRL!?". It's funny.

Maybe the official website will update later in the week?

Also, is Fox the only new character shown? If so, that is somewhat disappointing, considering they could've shown 3 more, even if they were already expected to be in the game.

Lol that is pretty sad, but like you I want to see the trailer anyway. I guess the reason for Fox being revealed is that they need to save their new characters and spread them out from now until launch when it comes out in 2009 :-P.
