How so?  Is it because the price jumps up astronomically?

If true I'm going to contact the winning bidder and laugh at him.

Care to explain for those of us who can't visit eBay at work?
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Ten thousand dollars?  Christ Almighty.

The buyer would have been better served going to his local Best Buy at opening and paying the guy who's first in line three grand (or less) for his PS3.

I have no idea how that one is getting $100,000, but I'm impressed to see many going for thousands of dollars.  I guess it would have been worth it to camp out overnight after all, I was beginning to doubt it due to supposedly low resale value of the Japanese models.
That's my opinion, not yours.

There's a lot of everything going on right now with the PS3 and Ebay.  A lot of grievers for one.  People who wanted a system, don't have one, and hate the ebayers for it.  They bid outrageously without ever intending to pay and don't care about the feedback that they might get.  Once one of these types have jacked up your auction by driving up the cost to insane values, your looking for problems if your the seller.  This auction definately had them, -1 bidders driving up their own bid over and over...

...or this one may be legit.  A *FEW* people will get lucky and get a large sale.  If I had to guess, the winning bidder is a buddy of seller and you'll see a relist later.

check out any auction for >$3.5 K.... chances are it could have a 100%feedback guy with only a dozen or less, many will be 0 feedback users.  They don't care about feedback.

*slaps forehead* So you honestly just said this one was "fake" without even checking it out? Yes it's a high price, but the winning bidder has a 100% feedback with 54 people weighing in and has been on eBay since 2003. That doesn't spell fake bidder to me. Most of us are pretty well versed in eBay, we know that "0 feedback" bidders on high price items usually means a fake bidder; this wasn't the case.

I have put limits on my auction, they need at least 2 positive feedback and no non-paying bids. They must also pay within 24 hrs.

I really don't understand why everyone doesn't do that for these launch consoles... it's not like they are going to have trouble selling them, and people get burned enough with having to pay eBay fees from "fake bidders" that you think they would learn quicker.

Yeah it is a huge risk to allow anyone to post, it is too bad you have to do things like that but you have to protect yourself. I've always been an honest ebay seller, whether it be for the Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and even the old Xbox along with various other things, I expect others to be as well when they are bidding.

No actually I still think it's a buddy of his helping him relist later.  I still think it's "fake" in the sense that no transaction will take place.  The risk of a mutual transaction withdrawal decreases significantly if you know the buyer...

Only allowable limits I've seen are for preventing bids from users with negative feedback.  It's not in Ebay's best interest to implement restrictions of 0 feedback or greater (It would kill the growth of the service).  Are the limits you speak of just textual in the description?

Buyer requirements
Block buyers who:

   * Are registered in countries to which I don't ship
   * Have received 2 Unpaid Item strikes in the last 30 days
   * Have bid on or bought my items in the last 10 days and have met my limit of 100 who have a feedback score of 0 or lower
   * Don't have a PayPal account

That is what I Have turned on. So I have blocked those with 0 or lower feedback.

You have blocked those with 0 or lower from buying more than 100 items from you.  The rule you list controls the number of items a single buyer can bid on or purchase.

In other words, someone with zero feedback can bid on your item if he hasn't bid on 100 other items you have.

Now I have a question about that: I'm only a buyer on Ebay and it annoys me when people don't wanna ship the item I'm interested in to where I live.
Is there a reason why? I mean, if the buyer agrees to pay shipping to his/her country, I don't see where the problem is.
