For me The Homecoming, the movie was a game changer for the MCU. The first movie I can legit say I'd go back and see again since the original GotG and Avengers and I now think it's going to make crazy $$$$. Fantastic movie .. bravo. 10/10

For those looking to see how their votes panned out,
here are the world wide numbers.  And the rankings from the poll:

1) Guardians Volume 2
2) Wonder Woman
3) Spider-Man
4) Logan
5) Lego Batman
6) Power Rangers

Of note: Spider-Man (#5*) and Wonder Woman (#10*) are still in theatres. (*Last weekend ranks.)

Edit: Here's another link with the head-to-head on the top 3.

I know this sounds wrong, but Wonder Woman has some incredible legs.

Domestically, she slayed the competition. I'm not sure if SM will catch up, regardless of how good a movie that is as well.
I still haven't seen it, but WW had to be the summer surprise. I know most of us thought it would do well, but no where near this well.
Just like we all knew Spider-Man would do good, but honestly thought it would do better than it is right now.

I wonder if JL gets the WW boost, or will Thor: Rags reign on that parade?

Thor is (ironically) not the sexiest franchise, but looks like it can be the best one this year.  I can see it stealing some thunder from JL, but JL is definitely going to get a boost from WW being so popular.  DC's brand was likely going to suffer from BvS, and they needed a hit.

I think SM not doing as well is probably just franchise fatigue from this being a second reboot in so short a time.  Which is a shame because this s the one that finally did it right.

Just want to add to this, that Spider-Man is not out yet in China nor Japan.
I think it doesn't hit China till at least September.
I'm pretty sure that between the 2, they are good for at least $100M-$120M which would put it right about where WW is at right now. so this positioning between WW and SM isn't exactly set in stone yet.

Well guys... looks like Inhumans is officially a train wreck.
http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/inhumans-tca-1202517058/

http://uproxx.com/hitfix/inhumans-panel-tca-batman-v-superman-sad-affleck/

Loeb is trying hard to deflect the disappointment of the first episode, but no one is buying it.
I don't want it to be bad... but it looked pretty bad from the first trailer.
I almost want it to fail horribly, but only if that is what it takes to boot not only the show runner, but maybe get Marvel TV under the Marvel Studios moniker ran by Feige so we can finally get back to #itsallconnected.

edit: I know this is supposed to debut in less than 60 days, but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets delayed, as this is a kinda big TV project for Marvel since it's partnered w/ IMAX and airing on ABC. On the off chance that it does get delayed, maybe it gets that "Agent Carter" mid-season AoS break slot.

But as it stands right now, Inhumans is supposed to air, and then AoS will follow with minimal show breaks since it will start sometime in Nov. instead of in Sept.

It looks really stupid. So does Gifted. Cloak & Dagger looks decent, almost similar to the Marvel Knights stuff.
I think it says on the box, 'No Hispanics' " - Jeff Green of EA

It really does (look stupid).... I'm not sure why they didn't tap someone from AoS to run the show... or atleast coordinate with them,  since it is connected.

I saw a brief clip of C&D a while ago, and it kinda reminded me of some family channel teen drama. It didn't look bad, but they didn't show much for me to get in to. so I withhold judgement.

Gifted looks worth an watch of the 1st episode. Maybe not on premiere night, but whenever there is a lapse of shows in my watch schedule. Legion turned out pretty interesting, so that gives a little optimism towards Gifted that the trailer itself didn't exactly provide.

The best thing about Gifted is Amy Acker, who routinely upstages the entire cast of whatever show she's in so my concern is that they dont waste her.

Wasn't sure where to post this, but here's something for all the forum movie-goers.

The gist:

One movie per day
No IMAX
No 3D

I wouldn't call it quite a crazy idea, but i pay £216/year (£18/month i think) for:

Unlimited movies a day
Unlimited IMAX (for a £2 extra charge per movie)
3D movies included after 12 months
No blackout dates
Live concerts and Q&A's get discounts
Advance screenings of certain movies ahead of release
10-25% off food and drink

Personally i say its a good deal, provided you make good use of it.

For real, it's not like they have questionable content movies at the theater that you would be worried about someone linking to you....
I don't see why anyone's gonna care if some data tracker is gonna know that you secretly like chick flicks or Tyler Perry movies.

OMG, now someone is gonna market Marvel/Superhero, Action, Horror, Adventure, Sci-fi/fantasy and Animated Kids movies to me.... in my email that I don't check.

Wonder Woman just got a HUGE 1407 theater re-expansion, including getting back into IMAX theaters for the upcoming Labor Day weekend.

WW is trying to crack the US Domestic Top 5 Superhero movie list
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/genres/chart/?id=superhero.htm

It just needs $5M to top both Civil War and Iron Man 3.

The current Top 7 movies are:
1) The Avengers - $623.3M
2) The Dark Knight - $534.8M
3) Avengers: AoU - $459M
4) The Dark Knight Rises - $448M
5) Iron Man 3 - $409M
6) Captain America: Civil War - $408M
7) Wonder Woman - $404.4M

I'm happy for it, and I hope its success sends a message to movie producers about what audiences want: more films that aren't directed by Zack Snyder.

and there are critic 1st impressions out there from early screenings.
All really positive from what I've seen. Lots of humor, highly entertaining from beginning to end.
easily the best Thor movie, lots of character moments, awesome visuals and action, one of MCU's best.

this looks pretty good. Deadpool, Logan, and now New Mutants.
outside of mainline X-Men movies, I think Fox may have found it's groove.

I love horror movies, and they went full HORROR with this one. Can't wait to see more.

The Gifted is actually pretty competent i feel. It's got an interesting premise, set itself up well and just got on with it.

Naturally its a waste of Amy Acker's talents because you just know she can steal the show as in POI, but here she is definitely more subdued.
