Can Tatum pull off a bayou accent?

Gambit was always one of my favorite characters despite his lack of actually doing anything productive during the cartoons. All he did was swoon over Rogue and get into fights with Wolverine. I can't really pick out an actor for him, but let's hope the writing is much better than Origins.

Second thought, would it be weird if they made him black?

No problem, it would be an improvement over Channing Tatum. Making Gambit a women would be an improvement.

Gambit sucks either way. Such a shitty shitty character. Brag could barley sustain an ongoing let alone his own movie.

New Batman suit is okay but I hope halfway through the film we get something like the new 52 or classic batman suits. I hate DKR with a passion.

Other than that movie is going to be rad as **** and it's the ducking batmobilrmso it should be a half to turn into a boat and a hover car and be like out of my way inclines.

With that said my standards for super hero movies are pretty low.

He just doesn't seem lankey enough to be Gambit.  I didn't think Gambit was a bad character during the Fox X-Men time but part of it may be growing up during that time.

Is that the guy who played Duke in GI Joe or the guy no-name guy from Transformers who made friends with the kid? I always get those to actors confused.

I hope Warner Brothers is Smart and decides to incorporate the mythos and stories of Arrow and the new Flash show as cannon for the movies.

I know people are saying that Warner Bros won't do that, because they won't risk a TV series telling the crucial origin stories and mythos building for their movies.  But seriously, look at Arrow.  Arrow already has the darker more realistic tone of the "edgy" DC movie universes.  The stories told in season 1 and 2, do a great job of telling a compelling origin story that is actually surprisingly intelligently written and with fun believable characters.

It Flash is as good as Arrow, then Warner Bros could have 2 origins already told and the characters introduced and primed for the movie.  They can even begin world building for the upcoming movies now.

That said, I could understand them NOT using the same actors for the movies...and I would be OK with that.  Use bigger, better actors, but at least acknowledge good stories and character development are already happening in the TV space...and don't retread material you don't have to.

At the same time, I look at what DC is doing, and I wonder if they just want to tell good, interesting stories, but not have a connected world or universe.  Basically treat stories as else world type movies.  If so, I don't think that is a good idea.

Than Batmobile looks even less usable than the Burton mobile. Batman is fucked if he ever has to drive up to an incline.

I think it'll be ok, not that we have a different angle on the Batmobile.

Much better, but having a suspension that for out is just asking for your wheels to snap off. Definately a style over function design like the Batsuit.

Plugabugz:  I bought season two of arrow on iTunes because it was on sale.  I didn't want to give the show a try because I hated Smallville with a passion.  I really hated Smallville.  I can not stress how much I didn't like Smallville.

That said, I heard good things about this show.  And so after watching the recap episode of year one, I was truly impressed by the believable pacing and actions of the characters.  I felt their actions seemed realistic and overall I was impressedā€¦it truly felt like a comic bookā€¦much better than the movies feel, because they can get the right pacing with the drama element.

I have only watched 3 episodes of season 2, but I am still impressedā€¦and I am liking the direction much better.  People say that the shows season finale is a little predictable.  I kinda hope so, because sometimes predictability means good foreshadowing, and intelligently written characters that behave somewhat realistically.

Channing Tatum as Gambit is only ok if he can sustain the accent for the whole movie.  And has Tatum been in anything where he actually. . .acted?  I've only seen him in GI Joe and 21 Jump Street.

Yeah, almost anyone can do an accent (though some WAY better than others).  It just takes coaching.  If Tatum puts the work in (which, too me relies on the director pushing for it), the movie can work out.

That is the worst name ever.

Pretty sad that Superman comes second in the title of his own sequel.

And it sounds like a videogame.
But we have 2 years to let it grow on us.... I'm sure by then we will have plenty of other things to hate about this movie before we get to actually watch it.
