DVD/Blu-Ray is home video. Home video is a blanket term for all films released on a format for purchase in retail. Home video is much quicker than "Out on DVD/Blu-ray/Ultraviolet/iTunes/Vudu".

Most Interesting on how much of a push DC is giving deathstroke and Suicide Squad. It plays into the bleedingcool rumor that this years big news is DC's way to get more films in place.

leeding Cool already mentioned how, with David Goyer attached, Warners were looking at movie treatments for the likes of Suicide Squad, Booster Gold, Deathstroke, Team 7 and more.


Well, it looks like this will be DC Entertainment’s big news for 2014.


A series of lower-prominence comic books being turned into relatively lower budget movies.


Suicide Squad is one specifically mentioned as only needing a $40 million budget, pre-marketing. Some could be made for as little as $20 million.


And with two-a-year scheduled for Spring and Fall/Autumn, Warners can expand the Man Of Steel/Batman universe significantly, and make a decent profit in the process.

We already have a deathstroke that's really popular with the fans as well as a Suicide Squad being hit in both with cast all ready and full to go. On a Arrow point of View we know that Ollie was on the island for five years and this season will wrap up slade's part of the island story and he obviousy won't die at the end of season, freeing Manu up for a deathstroke film. The same can be said about the Sucide Squad and the nature of the title only needs Amanda Waller to be honest.






It makes a ton of sense, when you realize that Man of Steel 2 was delayed a year, to throw two low budget films in the mix.

I also like to see The Question as a Dick Tracy style movie.

If they have a Deathstroke "Made for TV" Theater Released movie, then the Arrow crew better atleast have some of the storyline & rewrite duties if Goyer is involved.
It needs to stay true to the TV interpretation if this is TVverse related.

It wouldn't be Made for TV. it would come out in theaters but be of a smaller budget.  You can make a pretty decent film with $20-$40 million.  Also its a given that it would take place after Slade's current Arrow run but presumably do its own thing similar to the Wolverine.

Made for TV was in quotations because I was referencing the low-budgeted nature of the effort.

and I'm not so sure they would even be related to the TVverse, as the article cites it as expanding the Movieverse which isn't officially connected to the the TV shows in anyway whatsoever at this point.

So what I'm really hoping is that everything DC is doing from this point forward is connected. Even if they don't interact with each other, they exist in the same cinematic universe so that there is the potential for crossovers and references. TV actors in big budget movies might now pan out exactly how WB/DC wants things, but hopefully all that gets taken into consideration moving forward.
As they don't want to let Marvel keep snatching up all the talent across the industry, bit that I mind (being a Marvel man myself).

Arrow is on a roll. Besides everything that happened tonite, outside of the whole misunderstanding over if Ollie saved Sarah over Shado, instead of did he dive in front of who the gun was pointed at right before the trigger was being pulled because he refused to choose one over the other... **** was good.
