I almost died during the 3rd one... It was WAY too long.

pirates 3 was way too long, i just couldn't wait for it to be over while watching it. Its one of those movie series, where the first one was great to watch, but as soon as it got into sequel territory it just couldn't recapture the flame. Still, I would probably watch a new one, just not in a theater. Some movies its better to take 15 minute breaks and not have to worry about missing anything.

SyFy has two "good" movies coming out soon:

Mega Python vs. Gatoroid: two giant reptilian beasts fight in the shadow of constant catfighting between 80's starlets Debbie Gibson and Tiffany (I AM NOT KIDDING). My money's on Tiffany because she's aging better and has a big goddamn rack.

Sharktopus: What more do you want? It's a sharktopus.

A comedy that looks pretty funny

The Other Guys - 4 minute preview

starring: Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrel, Samuel L. Jackson, The Rock, and more.
It actually looks pretty funny (minus some Will Ferrell improved lines)

and if you keep letting the video play aftewards, there is a trailer for a movie called SuckerPunch.
It looks lie everytihng a guy would want in an action movie (minus sex & nudity). There are hot chicks, swords, guns, kung fu, dragons, slo-motions action, fantasy settings, and more stuff I'm sure will pique your interest. I couldn't really tell what the movie was about from the preview, but description on Netflix seemed pretty good.
Quote from: SuckerPunch
In this mind-warping action thriller, Baby Doll (Emily Browning), a girl slated for lobotomy in a 1950s-era asylum, leads a group of young female inmates in an attempt to escape both their mental fantasy worlds and the actual institution where they are prisoners. To accomplish her plan, Baby Doll must steal five objects -- but is the man who's trying to stop her real, or a figment of her imagination? Zack Snyder (Watchmen) directs.

I am a little reluctant since every movie Michael Cera has been in has sucked IMO. It's like he he stopped being funny after Arrested Development ended. I will likely wait for it to come out on DVD and Netflix it.

Very excited for Mountains of Madness. As a huge Lovecraft fan, I can't relly imagine any other director making it.

Wut? His character hasn't changed since Arrested Development and I think that is the biggest problem with all his movies.
He is always George Michael in every movie. He has been type cast but he is making lots of movies so I'm sure he doesn't really care right now.

i never watched arrested development, and so far I haven't had any Michale Cera hate. He's a skinny, timid, dead pan Canadian. He's not so much of an actor as he is a comedian they can just throw in any movie.

Saw Scott Pilgrim as well.  It was really good.  Anyone who is saying that guy can only do "timid Canadian" should see this movie, although he acts that way some he acts completely different at other times, especially the end.  Also, anyone who likes video games should see it, there are a lot of video game references (the Zelda fairy fountain theme in the bathroom is hilarious).  Although one of my friends hasn't played a video game since Pacman and he thought it was great, so it isn't just for video game fans.

oh yeah i wasn't saying he's just a timid Canadian. Many times it takes the right director to break an actors typecast. Otherwise, the actor just gets identical roles.
