despite my somewhat low key objections to porting snes to gba (rather they spend most of their time on new games) Earthbound and Chronotrigger deserve a nod

Earthbound and Secret of Mana are already coming out (although Secret of Mana is going by its japanese name so far, Seiken Densetsu or something).

I also think this portability is why Square wants to work with Nintendo on the GBA -- they could probably easily crank out a 2d game again, and re-release all of their old SNES games on the GBA no sweat and make a LOT of money.

I'd be happy seeing ports with improvements for the better SNES games, with the advantage that usually only the best SNES games get ported (aka, the ones that sold well or have a large following now).

I'd say Chrono Trigger or Secret of Mana. Secret of Mana would be a good game to show off the linking ability of the GBA.
GC games: Wind Waker, OOT/MQ, Ikaruga, Mario Sunshine, SSBM,  Resident Evil, Timesplitters 2, Animal Crossing

The new Secret of Mana game is a remake of Final Fantasy Adventure which is the first game in the Secret of Mana series, not the SNES Secret of Mana.

I'd like to see Dragon Warrior IV and V ported to the GBA.

I'd also like to see Pilotwings.  Of course I would much rather see all new versions of these types of games first.

Pilotwings SP.

luckily, i own uniracers, super metroid, chrono trigger, and FF3(6) for SNES....
the problem with uniracers and super metroid are the lack of buttons on the SP, you need to use every button in those games, and i don't believe porting them would work out to well.

I never played secret of mana, and i hope they do port that, maybe as a sequal to "Sword of Mana" which they have already announced.

I would love for starfox to be ported, but i know that can't happen because of the button issue, (at least i still own it for SNES!)

now that i think about it, outside of RPG's, there are barely any games i would like to see on GBA that i don't already own on SNES.. go SNES go!

Actraiser definatley, had one of the best soundtracks on the SNES of any game. I'm sure GBA can do the sound exactly, look at golden sun, blows away the snes sound.  Super Castlevania 4, another classic, FF 3, Chrono Trigger, Secret Of Mana,  Starfox I loved, and if I have anymore I'll post later.

I'd like to see some Square games that haven't been released in America on the GBA, such as Bahamut Lagoon, Live A Live, Seiken Densetsu 3, Front Mission, and definitely the Romancing Saga series. Dragon Warrior V & VI would also kick ass.  And Star Ocean!  I'd be a happy man if any of them got released.

Don't say "GBA ports" they might hear you...

I would prefer not getting ports of SNES games but to get original creations. But the arguement goes that alot of younger players might not have had the chance to play the classics we all know and love, so therefore ports are justified.

Since front mission was mentioned. I have to say this, pre-PSX front missions were horrible! I would be happy though if they continued the series.

the best snes game was killer instinct. the game had sweet graphics and the controls were great. it would work on the gba if they took time on it unlike the mortal kombat game...

They definately need to port Final Fantasy 3(6), along with Super Mario RPG, and definately a translation game of Bahamut Lagoon.  Bahamut Lagoon was a great game, I loved it to death.
