Dragon Ball isn't the only thing Bandai Namco is bringing to Nintendo's new system.

Bandai Entertainment America Inc. has reported that they are developing titles in their "Tales of ___" and "Taiko Drum Master" franchises for Nintendo Switch.

The storied game developer announced the additional support while touting their upcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (working title) offering, which was showcased in some brief scenes at Nintendo's recent Switch presentation. There are no further details for the additional titles, but both have had entries on Nintendo systems before.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

That's good to hear. I've always liked the Tales games, but most of them go to Sony systems.

I love Taiko Drum Master, but it seems like almost none of the games come to America. Not a problem with Switch being region free though. Bring it on!

Oh my god, I totally forgot about Region Free!

... Dragon Quest X, dare I dream?

Apparently the only game in the series released in English was the 2004 PS2 release.

The only issues with importing DQ10 is that playing RPGs (even MMOs) in Japanese can be tough if you can't read the language.

Yeah, that's the one I have. Bought it on clearance for $20 at Best Buy (with the drum included). I've been craving more, but none of the other Taiko Drum Master games have come to America.

Yes, very true about DQ10, but a rhythm game won't be as text-heavy and hopefully won't be too hard to figure out. So I may import it when the time comes.

Wasn't it revealed when DQX came out on PS4 that they geoblocked the game anyway, so it was only playable if you were in Japan?
